Its even harder when you try to think of someone known for baking rather than just cooking in general

Delia’s still around and kicking! She did a range of bakeware a few years back, I have a superb Swiss roll tin from her range. She is 84 now though so not sure she would want to take on a new telly role at this stage of her life.
Just had a quick look at Delia and she is as old as Prue!

I don't want any of the this morning chefs on or that James guy. Why are TV chefs so bloody annoying

Nigella is fab, love her. I've not watched bake off for years but might if she's on it

You see, I'm the opposite, find her embarrassingly cringe and can't watch her for more than 2 minutes without wanting to throw the TV out the window. All that over the top fake sexualisation of anything she's cooking is just awful and very staged.

She doesn’t do it as a judge on Australian MasterChef so I’d imagine she won’t do it here. Plus she’s knocking 70

The show struck it lucky with Mary Berry, and then follow her up with Prue Leith. I never even expected Prue to replace Mary, but she did it well enough. I've just always had a massive soft spot for Mary. I really enjoy her shows, and she seems like a nice lady who I've never heard a bad thing said about. I guess the show feels like they need to go in the direction of a younger judge. I wonder who will eventually replace Paul. As with striking lucky with Mary and Prue, I feel like Paul has been the perfect judge too. The show was perfect until Mary, Sue and Mel left.

I was going to comment on them not getting an older presenter, which i think has always been one of its strengths. But Nigella is 66!! 🤯

Paul will be in his element though working next to Nigella
Literally mouth open at the BIB.
I haven’t seen her host anything like this before but I think she could work out. I really hope she holds her own. I found Prue and her former replacement on the Celebrity versions (Waldegrave) a bit insipid at times.

Oh - I see she’s only just turned 66. But she’s still nearer 70 than 60. The point really is that she hasn’t been doing that eye bleeping the camera thing for years. Unlike Mr Hollywood
Caught her on TV a few weeks ago, she was exactly the same as she’s always been, it wasn’t great when she first started but it’s now horrendously predictable

A recent thing? That’s disappointing. I did think she’d stopped. Not sure how GBBO will cope with two judges like that. You need one who pretends they don’t approve of innuendo
