I'm quite looking forward to Nigella being the big name that overshadows Paul. She may not have the same baking credentials but she's a much bigger name. Noone had heard of Paul before Bake Off. Like someone said upthread, who wants a handshake from Paul when Nigella's right there!?

Kitto on this years kids bake off has been brilliant entertainment

Its actually been a strong series overall

I watched one series of the kid bake off and loved it. I thought Liam and Prue were great judges that worked very well together ( I preferred Mary Berry over Prue and Noël and Sandy/Matt are obviously not as good as Mel and Sue, who I thought were brilliant- a few bread/cake puns/innuendos, great candidate support and a great rapport with each other, plus the nerdy historical food segments) . Harry Hill was also astonishingly tolerable, as he was sweet and supportive when the kids were struggling/doubting themselves.
I like the idea of Nigella, and I might actually start rewatching if she is on.
I hate that the show is so gimmicky now and gives the contestants challenges that aren’t doable in the given time that even a professional baker would struggle to complete as they don’t allow for enough cooling time for example.

I've not bothered with the GB one for ages, but did catch an episode of the Aussie one by chance yesterday, I really enjoyed it, will have to catch up with previous episodes! Better than the GB one imo!
