Wonder what Paul thinks??? I loved Pru and I'll miss her jewellery and glasses
He won't like it he loves his co presenters to not be as famous as he is but no ones going to want a Paul handshake with nigella there I hope she totally puts his nod rout of the joint there's something about Paul that's been weird especially this series just gone his comments etc have been appalling to the contestants

I'm willing to give Nigella a chance- I've been ready to give up on Bake Off ever since Matt Lucas was in it, and I never really took to Prue. We'll see!

I'd checked out of Bake Off in recent years, the show was just rather stale for me, and the challenges getting more ridiculous.
But I might actually tune in for Nigella on the show. She's utterly ridiculous with the eye, camera bleeping and innuendo on her own shows. But she has a warmth and likeability that will fit with Bake Off and she doesn't lay it on as thick when she is on other shows. So she will probably be a really good, warm, supportive judge.

Is there a celeb bakeoff thread? The SUTC lineup was just announced and there's some good faces in there.
A few of the comedians have done it before, Jon Richardson, Joe Wilkinson, Rose, Roisin and Judi

I’ve never watched the celeb version but is there normally that many contestants? I feel like you’d only see a couple of minutes of each one! How long is it on for?
It runs over 5 or 6 weeks with 4 of them each week. Out of the 4 one of them wins the star Baker apron.

Molly Mae, sweet girl but everything will be beige, she makes her daughters cake every birthday year though.
I didn't know Prue was leaving. Always thought she was a useless judge anyway.
