Yes I read about it many moons ago,it's very odd isn't it ? But then lots of fetishes are I guess.
The first I heard of it was that weirdo Josie Cunningham (the one who got free boobs off the NHS then trolled everyone about it) so it's been around a while.

I wonder how much it matters if you are hot? Not that she was/is but still.

No I genuinely don't think it does from what I saw. I wonder what happened to her lol I remember they did a documentary on her and I loved it. She was a original rage baiter before all the TikTokers took over.

Recently saw that someone was trying to raise £100 to pay a penalty fare they received for not buying a train ticket.

As far as I'm concerned that was their fault and their problem to pay. Rather than go on GFM and expect the gullible to pay it for them.

So why did GFM allow this request to be posted?

Does GFM not vet the ridiculous blagging that goes on?

No wonder the site has a rather poor reputation nowadays.

All the worthy causes are being swamped by those trying to take the piss!

She was dubbed the most hated woman in britain at one point which, lol. She was just a troll and the media loved it, although it was a real low when she 'teased' aborting a baby so she could go on Big Brother if the need be. I feel sorry for her kids but I've not heard of/from her in absolutely ages. I hope she's just being a mum now and leaving the trolling behind.

GFM has such little credibility to me I don't think I'd donate to anything on there now, which makes me feel bad for the genuine fundraisers that are truly for a good cause but I don't trust it. I would sooner just give money directly to something like Doctors Without Borders instead.

Tbh shes tame to the bloody states on TikTok nowadays, make her look pretty good . Yes,a lot of it was made up rage bait by her publicist who was just sponging off her. Thinks she's got 6 now last I heard 😂 and she was sleeping with her boyfriends son 😂

What also annoyed me was that person also had their GFM profile set to private.

So they clearly had something to hide. No doubt more ridiculous blagging they didn't want anyone else to see.

GFM really need to start taking down money requests which are clearly people taking the piss, plus banning those people.

Yes, except it turns out she isn't dead. The family wrote the original GFM as if she was deceased and the husband did a bizarre TT claiming "they killed my wife", and mentioned medical negligence (also moaned about the cost of the surgeries), but now they say she's in a hospice somewhere. They have also said she was brain dead and in a vegetative state. The regular updates from family have stopped now other than one of them making a post to blame social media for misinformation.
So she is now gone but apparently there will be no autopsy despite all the fuss about negligence. Very peculiar. And the family have all gone silent on it as well.

“Based on the information known to JourneyLite to date, the cause of death remains undetermined and JourneyLite has made requests to both the Tussey family as well as the county coroner that an autopsy be conducted as to whether any unknown or underlying condition cause[d] or contributed to her death,” JourneyLite said in a statement."

"The Warren County coroner told WXIX that Rachel Tussey died in Warren County, but there will be no autopsy. The coroner did not say why."

No wonder the medical facility wants an autopsy. I'm no supporter of this type of surgery or anything but this surgeon and the medical centre have been dragged across the internet. You can understand why they'd want answers, even if the family now doesn't. There's a limit to what they can say about the situation under HIPAA but the husband has been out there making all sorts of claims that they can't address or respond to, claims that have probably been damaging for business. Saw this happening with the Beth Martin 'stolen heart' case as well.

And I have a new story. It's a sad situation. Most of them are, I suppose, and it goes beyond plain scamming to physical harm of her own child.

Kaitlyn Rose Laura (aka Kaitlyn Herring) has been arrested in Tarrant County, Texas, and charged with Injury to a Child / Serious Bodily Injury and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Investigators allege she subjected her young son to prolonged medical child abuse, obtaining unnecessary treatments and surgeries while misrepresenting his condition to doctors and online audiences. There's also an investigation into possible Medicaid fraud.

So far I've found traces of the 3 GFM mentioned in the news pieces and they've all been taken down, but there is still one up, associated with her partner / husband. She has a history of e-begging for various reasons across multiple FB pages and groups over the last few years, but these full on medical claims about the boy in this case maybe only started last year sometime.

So was on TT earlier and came across someone's live. They look like they stuck in Dubai, flight has been cancelled a few times. Someone who had joined there live said they should start a GFM up to try and pay for flights or even use the money to pay for bills etc as they not working as stuck there so won't get paid. I'm sorry but just No!
Nobody has been truly "stuck" in Dubai for weeks now. Where airlines have cancelled their flights they have rebooked passengers and the flights are no longer oversubscribed. A few airlines have cancelled all flights for the foreseeable but in those cases they issue refunds which you then use to buy an Emirates flight. Attempting to garner sympathy only - probably why they havent done the GFM as it's too obvious.

Has anyone read the story about the autistic 7 year old that drowned while in the care of her childminder? A gofundme was set up for help with funeral costs and now they’re selling T-shirts with the poor girls face on 😩 🤢

I didn't like to mention this on another thread where the poor girl's death was being discussed but, why do the family need money exactly? They haven't lost any.

I know that sounds callous, but money can't replace what they've lost and they'll be suffering immensely in the emotional sense but not financially.

Unless the family have no knowledge of this even and it's pure grift. That's happened before.

Theres a couple of legitimate needs that comes to mind...funding time off work for grieving parents who can't afford to not be working e.g. if self employed, or only receiving SSP, or to pay for bereavement counselling (I dread to think what an NHS waiting time is) etc

I'm sure the majority of GFMs are grifting, but there are definitley some real costs to bereaved families

You're probably right, I think too many chancers has made me overly cynical.

I'm primarily suspicious of the people who have these set up sometimes within hours of a person's passing, rather than the families they're allegedly to benefit.

100%. I know people who live there and who are travelling for work as planned.
