From what I can gather they was meant to come home last week but they had there flight rescheduled to this week and by the sounds of it that may have been cancelled too. Apparently can buy a government seat on a flight for £500pp but they may not go ahead!
She might also have not declared all of her meds. Either way that is sad...but a gfm is a bit far

It is the very basics that is covered, anything else needs to be paid for. The ones who have a GFM opened are likely to also want the horse drawn hearse, flower displays etc etc.
Because they want the best coloured coffins or horse drawn carts etc so these things a lot extra
And if they’re on benefits there’s an additional Funeral Expenses Payment that can be claimed.

It has made me form the opinion that people are mindlessly using GoFundMe as a way to look good. Not everyone but many are a bit too quick to rush over and start a fundraiser for anything under the sun. It seems to be a form of virtue signalling.

There is a post in keep seeing floating around FB about a Go Fund Me. It is set up by a mother. She claims that her daughter and daughters bf had their drinks spiked in Thailand with both Coke and Heroin. That the bf died and is going to have a funeral in Thailand and the daughter was very unwell and is now in some sort of rehab to recover. She wants money to cover costs of funeral/treatment.
People are asking a lot of questions about what has happened. Wondering about why no travel insurance, or questioning the drink spike story as the drugs are not those commonly used for spiking a drink. Others pointing out that the family is well off and doesn't need a GFM.
The Mother is literally fighting with people in the comments and saying things like " what do you want? The actual medical report? The bills?".

If you are going to make unusual claims, them proof of those claims is needed.
Imo it sounds like either the entire thing is a lie or that the Mother can't fathom her daughter taking drugs willingly, so is choosing to believe that it was a spike.

People have no shame or class whatsoever these days and sometimes also a totally warped sense of reality. Things like this and the way Mechad Brooks ranted and raved at anyone who questioned his GFM for multimillionaire Kimberly Van der Beek show it more than anything else.
I'm glad some fundraisers now have people asking questions, that should never be considered a bad thing.
The ones that get me are the ones I used to see on tumblr a lot that were like "Donate to a queer autistic girl" "Donate to a black transwoman".
Not for anything specific like medical bills or vet bills or homelessness, just because. Usually accompanied by a lot of guilt tripping.
Why should I? If I thought someone was genuinely in need of financial help I could give, their identity is irrelevant, but just existing as you are doesn't automatically make you entitled to other people's money.

E-begging has got so bad you can do stuff like filter out every possible related term to it on the likes of X and Tumblr and still feel bombarded.
Unless there is proof of the story like, say, someone raising funds because there's been a house fire or actual medical bills for something lifesaving, why countless people rush to donate to anyone with a begging bowl out mystifies me. One born every minute, I guess.
I feel like all influencers are just e-begging.
The worst I've seen is on TikTok where people will sulk, insult, demand, swear and shout at anyone watching their e-begging live when they don't get what they want.
People donate to this.
