Couldn’t agree with you more Gina. In my neck of the woods on Sunday this poor man was hit by a car and killed. Father of four, recovery driver/mechanic, stood at the side of the road helping a stranded motorist. 37 years young. There’s a go fund me for the family which I WILL be giving too to give them the time and space they need to recalibrate.

Not this shower of shit who just take take take and expect us to bail them out when it all goes wrong.

What’s even worse (if that’s possible) is she wasn’t even IN the house at the time! She’d fucked off out leaving a lit candle and innocent animals! Don’t know why the family are saying in the go fund me that the whole house will need re-wiring etc. it’s a council house and the family has been re homed whilst the work is done (for free).

Yet again people have given thousands of pounds to people that should know better.

Not been on this thread for a while, but seeing this justgiving page for the two young men who died on Snowdon last week is really refreshing. I wish we could see more of this rather than wealthy people setting up fundraisers to maintain their wealthy lifestyles, because god forbid they have to downsize their mansions and other assets. Imagine what a cancer charity could have done with a $2.7million ‘van der beek’ fundraiser. Or even half of it. It’s still accepting donations too.

Why are British men so incapable of travelling without falling off the balcony?! Thank God we don't have many here, it'd be carnage.

What kind of world do we live in now, where we raise money for criminals? It's virtually the exact same story each time they get caught. Yes,maybe once in a while, the narratives true, but come on ! Nobody seems to want to take accountability for their own actions when the shit hits the fan. Its different when they're flaunting their life on insta, showing off their fake lifestyle and ill gotten gains. Don't get me wrong,I am no moral crusader and it's not my money as I would never donate, but am sick to death of people being gaslit en masse,by everyone nowadays and told that Black is White.

I’m interested to hear people’s thoughts on the GoFundMe pages that have been set up to support businesses affected by the recent fire in Glasgow.

It’s obviously devastating, and it’s awful to see so many businesses impacted. But at the same time, most legitimate businesses should have insurance that covers things like their premises, equipment, and stock. I’ve seen a few fundraisers — for example a makeup artist raising money to replace her kit — and she has already raised over £7,000.

I understand that insurance claims can take time to process, but it does make me wonder if these fundraisers are a bit excessive, given that insurance payouts should eventually cover these losses. I’m just curious what everyone else thinks about it.

Just seen this. This guy originally wanted £30k for a wedding but took it down after getting no donations. He has now got a new one for just £12k so he can spend his birthday with his Fiancé!
There is something icky about the way he says "my little family" over and over.

But you know what, I really want a bedroom make over. I want new fitted wardrobes. Maybe I should forget everything I was taught about saving my own money and just beg for it, seems to be the way of the world now.

GoFundMe should have some sort of vetting process and disallow the silly crap like this, it makes a mockery of the site.

Why can't people just live within their means or save up ? I honestly do not understand these people's mentality that the world owes them a living. I am even more baffled by people that actually donate to this type of thing.

Hmm so without saying it, he has also said that he is away from his kids 5 months in the year.....the kids who are as he said, also autistic. Leading us to believe they are under the care of his wife who he said has autism, adhd and bppd. Those are a struggle on their own and yet he also leaves 2 autistic kids for her to look after as well.
He doesn't seem like a good parent. I'd say "hope he is a better musician", but he obviously isn't since he is in dept and not famous cos like, never heard of them!
Wouldn't be surprised if the gigs he is referring to are in a pub and only reason they're "sold out" is cos it's a pub.

British comedian Cerys Nelmes( never heard of her before) was arrested for shoplifting while in Turkey back in July. Cerys left a Zara store with £110 of unpaid for clothing in her backpack. Her gofundme states they were paid for but now the story being reported is that she got distracted by her mobile and left the store forgetting her backpack was full of unpaid items. Staff escorted her back into the store and was arrested for shoplifting, the court put a travel ban on her and she was finally allowed to the country yesterday. Does anyone else put items in their backpack/bag before paying for them?

Over £16k raised to support someone who committed a crime 😲 GFM needs to clamp down on these, it's shocking....

There is a post in keep seeing floating around FB about a Go Fund Me. It is set up by a mother. She claims that her daughter and daughters bf had their drinks spiked in Thailand with both Coke and Heroin. That the bf died and is going to have a funeral in Thailand and the daughter was very unwell and is now in some sort of rehab to recover. She wants money to cover costs of funeral/treatment.

People are asking a lot of questions about what has happened. Wondering about why no travel insurance, or questioning the drink spike story as the drugs are not those commonly used for spiking a drink. Others pointing out that the family is well off and doesn't need a GFM.

The Mother is literally fighting with people in the comments and saying things like " what do you want? The actual medical report? The bills?".

Well yes.

If you are going to make unusual claims, them proof of those claims is needed.

Imo it sounds like either the entire thing is a lie or that the Mother can't fathom her daughter taking drugs willingly, so is choosing to believe that it was a spike.
