We never got to learn what opportunities they were offered from the demo as we usually do in the final when it’s been demo before the final creative brief.
maybe they didn’t get any!

Right person won, but it’s not a very exciting season.
They need to find the right presenter, maya & Leomie were both a bit awkward.

When Leomi was talking to the mua's after the first challenge I thought prince had come back from the dead that hairstyle 🤣
Hated that first challenge nothing to do with make up really. Thought Roo and Wesley were going to come to blows at one point.
Definately the right person left they really seemed shocked they were going home didn't they? Bit big headed
I was hoping Roo and Wezley would have a full blown scrap, the producers were egging the situation on

Anyone remember ‘Ten Years Younger’. They took someone who looked older than their years and transformed them. Sometimes they got a new set of teeth, but most of the magic was done with hair, make up and clothing. I would like to see the contestants work on someone with lines, looking tired a run down, and show me what they can do with clever make up. After all they can make very plain celebrities look fabulous. Or is that photoshop 😂
Me too, great idea. However. the concept of the makeover doesn't sit well with a woke ideaology these days. I can understand to a certain extent that people shouldn’t have to conform to a certain standard of beauty as and made to feel that their “before” image isn’t good enough. However, humans have been using artificial adornment in the form of hair clothes and makeup for a very long time. Glow up is super woke and I feel that if any of the artists did much as mentioned covering up spots, wrinkles or freckles it would be a big no no. (Red chair) Cover the whole face with bald caps, diamonds and thick stage makeup..? DING DONG

The right person went this week. Their attitude was awful. They definitely didn’t see it coming!
I agree they looked so taken aback when it was clearly obvious. Shame as I thought they were OK til that point.

The meta verse wtaf has that got to do with makeup ridiculous

hoping this year for contestants that are actually good at makeup and not heavy TikTok influencer style! 🥴 the best contestant by miles was Ophelia and no one has topped her since imo!

I’ll continue to watch but I’m getting mighty bored of seeing people’s journeys expressed in the medium of face paint!! I want high glamour!

It doesn't know what it wants to be. The SFX don't compare to the quality shown on a show I used to watch called something like Face/Off.

I'd love to see each artist get a client with a skin concern, an event to go to/theme and have at it without jiggly bits of latex made to look like gills. It's tired.

I wonder how many of this years contestants have actually worked on various different faces? I remember last year there was one girl panicking on a challenge as she’d only ever done facepainting makeup on herself 🙄🙄🙄

In the spirit of diversity I wish there were more mature applicants that are maybe wanting to break into the industry as a career change rather than too many 18-25 age demographic.

I’m still seeing bad foundation tones on Leonie and Teisha. There was one blonde model on the Sephora challenge with appalling pale yellow foundation on with that awful tide mark around the jawline which was screamingly obvious on the shoot yet I don’t recall any of the judges saying anything about it. Can’t remember the artist but I was like WTF

I think it might just be how young they are and that this is what young creative people are like right now. I feel so old lmao when I was young and had a creative bunch of friends we defined ourselves with punk/goth etc and made a big deal out of it all. I don’t think we’d have scrawled “holiday in Cambodia” all over a model’s face while we had a tantrum, though. That seems unique to lil Charlie.
Yes I’m sure you’re right, I feel old too! I just
don’t remember being quite so wrapped up in my own suffering, or at least if I was I didn’t have that total identification with it and willingness to share it in public.

Yes maybe it’s a young creative thing and I guess the producers prompt them to come up with something “dark”. But 4 seasons in I’m not sure how much more “I always felt like I was different / didn’t fit in” I can take…. maybe they’ll start to notice that feeling like you were different actually makes you exactly the same as everyone else!

Anyone watch today's episode?
i really like Ella, and like that she doesn’t try to make every brief a sob story.

Did anyone else feel like Finley was waiting for everyone to be socked when he finally made reference to the fact that he’s trans?🤣

I feel like the face off doesn't fit because most of the other challenges are like works of art, almost like really sophisticated face painting, but then they have to do a really bog standard make up style like the smoky eye challenge. So someone that can paint a truly wonderful sunset ombre on someone, might not be able to get a perfect smoky eye.

I love Dolly, to me she is the outstanding candidate. Not a fan of Jack and Ryley tho. And i echo what a previous poster said, i want to see makeup glamour not face paint.
