I do remember years ago something in the paper about gizzi and pro green but I can't remember it now.
Re Margate - they've been trying for years to improve the area and make it attractive to more affluent people, but it's still a way off. It's been a deprived seaside town for years and a lot of the b&bs were/are used for temporary housing. There's still a lot of problems with crime, drugs and homelessness in the area, despite the improvements they have made, it'll take a long time I think and a lot more investment to see drastic change there.
Yeah I agree on this. Not saying men and women can’t be friends, because she is clearly his friend but she doesn’t seem to be content with it
I think she’s very pretty but she’s definitely had the top lips done. Or been stung by a wasp.
It’s sad I remember it being such a great place to visit as a kid!

She hasn’t moved there permanently but her latest venture is a cafe in Margate with other old music libertines people so is there to set it up. Lots of media people go to Margate - TraceyEmin vibes.
I posted this on another thread but I used to really like her, then I saw her being such an arse on Instagram and it put me right off.
During peak UK lockdown she flew out to Barbados for ‘work’ (a DJ set
) and then proceeded to post about how absolutely awful it was that Barbados went in to lockdown when she arrived. She could still enjoy the stunning hotel and beach etc and it was just tone deaf.

I've literally spent ten days cooped up and she's being a tube out and about.

She seems very unstable and crosses the line from honesty and transparency into a cry for help. I used to quite like her but now she just seems a bit of a train wreck. Like why would you move to Margate if you’re totally isolated and alone and obviously prone to feeling low?
I'm quite fond of Margate, bad bits and all.

she chose to behave like a dick. Mallika was gracious enough to send her a DM in order to point out her concerns. Many of the Twitterati would have just gone directly into her public feed.
The thing is the only non head counter argument to cancel culture is that it doesn’t give people the opportunity to learn & develop, as we all should and are actively doing if we care about changing the way the world is? And Gizzi didn’t do that, she was peak stereotypical white woman what about ME???? Think of MY PAIN!!! Rather than apologising for the harms done. It’s actually mortifying to watch, all she had to do is a lil iPhone note apology saying look, I’m mortified particularly as I spent so long embedded in Thai culture* and grew such a reverence for the people & traditions so my intentions really weren’t to upset anyone and I’m sorry. ETA - not a foody so don’t follow these ppl so don’t know what she actually did other than confuse countries so sorry if my countries in the above are also confused!
Mallika is also a comms professional who had an article all ready she had written about another appropriating chef saga and how you should deal with having stuff pointed out that you did wrong. She has come out so well from this - and other people have shown themselves to be thin skinned, defensive and yet also aggressive.
