Does anybody else think ITV have a bit of a brass neck to have asked its news unit to do the Gino investigation after the way the network conducted itself regarding Schofield

It isn't fooling anyone this sudden desperation to clean up the channel, 's act

Probably got there first before a competitor dug deeper and exposed something even bigger

I think ITV is a sinking ship to be honest. The only thing I really watch is Corrie and that has been awful lately and so many people leaving seems a bit suspect

I bet Gordon is just as bad tbh. Also why do these men do this when they have children? Do they not think of them at all? Gino has a daughter, would that be acceptable for a man to say that to her? Gregg Wallace has kids. Great example to set but it’s ok because you’re a “TV star” 🙄
I saw something said about Gordon. Telling a young woman on kitchen nightmares to think of Saturday nights with their boyfriend whilst milking a cow? It’s just one big boys club… and it’s a lot different to have banter with other chefs than to do it brazenly on tv..,

Was celebrity juice itv as well? ITV definitely encouraged the double entendres, flirting and crudeness in an apparently daytime family show… I can’t believe everyone found it hilarious he showed his a at that time of the morning, and when philth and holly turned up still drunk 🙄 duck the lot of them. Don’t get me started on loose women either that’s a cess pit and always has been (and full of has beens and lecherous old women)

Spot on with the boys club! And then the people associated with them suddenly plant a story about how uncomfortable they felt. John Torode was the same. Why didn’t you speak up then…? Holly is also just as bad imo as she seems to be involved in a lot of these situations and didn’t do a thing

On a similar note, Stephen Mulhern on Dancing on Ice, at the weekend, made reference to golden showers apparently. 🙄
I fast forward through everything he and the equally painful Holly Willoughby say. But I unfortunately did catch one moment of their 'banter' later on when she was talking about one of the upcoming routines and said time to get your pom-poms out, he said oh it's a bit cold for that. And the two of them sniggered. bleeps, the pair of them. It's supposed to be a family show, given that it's broadcast at 6.30 pm.

Nah she loved it! All the attention and giggling… also probably off her nut on ❄. Nations sweetheart eh

The whole ‘as a father of daughters’ thing is ridiculous. We’re meant to hold him up as an example of a good guy because he respects women he’s related to? I know I’m being flippant but that whole attitude really annoys me (society in general, not previous posters!).

I agree ITV have always encouraged and protected him, but for some reason he’s now been chucked under a bus. There’s either something far worse they’re hiding or its a deflection tactic.

Thank you! I had the same thought. Whilst I understand the premise, that terminology also absolves anyone who isn't a father, and that's not ok in my book.

What can be said is anyone who is found to have commited sexual harassment (and assault for that matter) is only in it for what they get out of it. Whether that's a power trip or them getting off, it's self gratification. Not for a second do they think of anyone else and that's the last thing on their mind.

Same as his ludicrous attempt at refuting the accusations: "I've worked with 1,500 people on 80 productions...".

Yeah, whatever Gino - we're not interested in the 1,460 people on the 70 productions who have no complaints to report.

Brave of Fred to back him in public.
That will massively backfire on Fred.
There was an article in the DM this morning about Gordon Ramsay having complained about Gino a couple of years back.
Apparently the pair fell out because Gordon flagged Gino’s behaviour.
That may be true, but the whole article read like a PR piece placed by Gordon’s team to put as much distance between him and Gino as possible.

Gordon Ramsey is a misogynist too. He publicly declared several times that he refused to be in the delivery room with his wife while she gave birth to his many children, as he didn’t want to be turned off having sex with her afterwards.

I remember this. So bloody grim. This ongoing objectivication of women is just so Fkg tiresome generally. I've seen today lots of people supporting Gregg Wallace on twitter and the usual 'I'm not offended' rit about Gino. Yes, there was a time this stuff was considered acceptable but those days are gone. No one should have to put up with this tit especially not at work. Anyone who thinks like this is a complete dinosaur IMO.

The whole father of daughters thing pisses me off because it centres men's experience and feelings. They should be able to respect women as autonomous and deserving of the same respect as a man, regardless of whether that woman is related to them or not.

I'd be very disappointed if Fred's on team Gino, Fred doesn't come across as the desperate, slimy type who'd join in with G's 'banter'.
Fred has always somewhat given me the creeps but that's probably just me.
