And she told KP straight in the same series .. I love her 🤷‍♀️ bet she’s bloody hard to live with though 😉
I too always felt a visceral ick whenever he was on tv, just knew he was a fake and a wrongun. I want to know how put on his accent is
SAME!!!

I would say his accent is as authentic as Cilla Black's was (1980's onwards Cilla) 😉 #iykyk
I remember reading a while back that someone overheard him in a restaurant and said while he does have an accent, it wasn't as strong as what he puts on when being filmed, so yeah, 'Our Cilla' all over again.

There was a headline on Facebook about a crass joke Gino made about Holly and someone replied with this. Honestly my reality and understanding of the world is so far removed from other peoples that I question my judgement of things. Or is it sarcasm??

It’s always women of a certain age who defend this kind of behaviour as well. ‘Oh it was fine in my day’, well yeah because you had been conditoned to think that and carry a shitload of internalised misogyny🙄

I’m a woman of a certain age - which is probably yet another misogynistic label coined as a put down of women by a man.
I like to think I know the difference between banter and disgusting misogyny.
I’ve been on the receiving end of far too much of the latter when there was no way to challenge it or have it dealt with. Some horrible experiences.
There’s probably some truth in your comment with regards to those who are defending him (though it’s more likely to be that some women are defending him because they fancy him and don’t want to believe he’s a POS, in my opinion)
But if they’re carrying a tit load of internalised misogyny then I feel sympathy for them, not scorn.

I too, am a woman of a "certain age", and I can't tell you how much it gladdens my heart to realise that young women are no longer putting up with this tit, and are quite rightly calling the misogynists to account.
As for his accent...I have met literally hundreds of Italian people through work, including some who can hardly speak English at all. I've never heard a single one who sounds anything like this wick.
I'm so glad that his number is up, we can't stand him in my house! 😡

Agree 100%. Another woman of a certain age here who has put up with so much tit, sexual comments, innuendo etc in my working life in the 90s onwards. So so glad young women are not putting up with this!

How do these men keep getting away with this behaviour
Tbh, it was VERY clear to me years ago that he was most likely this way with how vulgar he was in Celebrity Juice. I used to think even Leigh Francis looked a bit shocked with some of the things Gino would say.

We all knew “Keith Lemon” was an act, the character dates back to early 2000s in Leigh’s earlier work, and people knew that going onto celeb juice but Gino was too much, he wasn’t even playing a character.

I'm a woman of a certain age, who suffered in silence when all those mysoginist bullies were about. So much so, that I couldn't take the constant lewd comments about my big boobs, and had a breast reduction. I'm now covered in scars, because auld creeps like him thought they could comment on my body. Imagine if us women went around staring at mens groins and commenting on the size of their wicks. Delighted they are being cancelled.

Awful to think that he and so many others got away with it for so long. The sickening thing is that those women knew there was no point in saying anything because in some cases they would have lost their jobs. It makes me so angry how these neanderthals thought it was absolutely fine and oh so hilarious to speak to women the way that they did. I could never abide either this lowlife or slimeball Gregggggg Wallace, without knowing why. I could never bear to watch anything that either of them were on.

Me too lovey. One night I went into a club and was taking my jacket off. A man came from across the corridor to specifically squeeze my boobs. This was back in 1999. I was on the waiting list for a BR anyway but I came home that night sobbing. My dad said enough was enough and paid for the reduction.

The reality was that man should have been arrested and charged with sexual assault but I mutilated my body instead because it made me feel dirty.

Do ITV not understand that breaking this story themselves does nothing for them in terms of PR? I get the impression they think because they are taking a stand and calling him out that their hands look clean. They really don’t. Not a chance they haven’t been aware for over a decade what he’s been doing.

ITV enjoyed Gino’s lewdness and encouraged it.

Philip and Holly rolling around at his rubbish ‘faux pas’ stuff was all scripted and done for ratings.

He was vulgar on Celebrity Juice, a lot of the guests on that show were too.

Gino is not without blame but he was encouraged by ITV to be like that.

I work for a large corporate and if someone, particularly someone senior to me, said that to me at work there would be hell to pay - they’d lost their job, without a doubt. I’ve seen that change in even just the ten years that I’ve been “properly” working. It’s so rare to hear men say things like that now in my job. I’m not saying that it doesn’t happen but it’s rare.

It seems like the media is one of the last industries to catch up in terms of that kind of approach to sexism etc

Also, and I’m aware this is quite sad to say (because men should love their wives), but I was always suspicious of Gino due to how much he went on about only being with his wife, being together from a young age etc - it was so at odds with the image he put across. I always think when (famous) men lean too hard into the family man image it’s because they are trying to keep something hidden

I remember when he said he and his wife hardly spent any time together, they went on holiday and out for meals with other people and were not in constant touch.
.........The TV chef surprised many in 2023 by confessing to the Express that he seldom phones his wife Jessica while away for work: "What's the point in bothering your wife to the point I need to pretend to want to make a phone call is insane! I don't buy into it. I could be filming in Italy or somewhere in the world for two weeks and I would perhaps call my wife once or twice.
