I saw lots of YouTube comments saying it’s “snowflakes” who cant take a joke, it’s banter etc
There’s no hope for some people. One even said he’s a real life joey tribianni ffs
Not just on YT and, unsurprisingly, mostly by men, but there are women defending him as well, saying that's all it is—banter. One woman even claimed to have worked in a factory for years and heard the a thing more than once and insinuated as she was fine with it; everyone should be, and if you aren't, then you are the one with the problem.

I too, am a woman of a "certain age", and I can't tell you how much it gladdens my heart to realise that young women are no longer putting up with this tit, and are quite rightly calling the misogynists to account.
As for his accent...I have met literally hundreds of Italian people through work, including some who can hardly speak English at all. I've never heard a single one who sounds anything like this wick.
I'm so glad that his number is up, we can't stand him in my house! 😡
Someone I am very close to is Italian and came here in his early 20s, so full accent even now 20 odd years later. He has said from the first time of hearing his accent it is not authentic and that no one has a clue who he is back home.

I also remember my late wonderful nan, who was always a good judge of character. He came on the tv one day making some fancy bruschetta. She said ‘all he ever makes is things on toast. That man is a fraud’. 😬😆 she always got it right bless her.

ITV enjoyed Gino’s lewdness and encouraged it.

Philip and Holly rolling around at his rubbish ‘faux pas’ stuff was all scripted and done for ratings.

He was vulgar on Celebrity Juice, a lot of the guests on that show were too.

Gino is not without blame but he was encouraged by ITV to be like that.
Totally agree. ITV are trying to wipe their hands clean by ‘exposing’ him. They bloody well knew and were in cahoots as long as it worked for them.

Gino the new Greg Wallace then
Greg Wallace and Wynn Evans are wooping with delight right now . . Takes the limelight off of them eh? I've never been a fan of Gino de campo, everything is over exaggerated and quite cringy to watch. . Good riddance 👏🏼

I hate that some women my age and older (I started my career in the early 2000s) are defending him. No!! We should be supporting those brave young women for having the courage to speak out and holding them up, not knocking them down and telling them to put up with it because we did.

These men always seem to have a whole host of female sympathisers. All the comments along the lines of "how come its taken 15 years for them to come forward?"

Totally oblivious to power dynamics and the fact that sometimes it can take that long for one brave woman to come forward and open the floodgates, or that on many occasions, objections were raised at the time but were swept under the carpet.

Hope we never see the greasy little git again, although I expect there's a Schofield-style "woe is me" interview on the way. That lot all tend to have the same agents, don't they?

Exactly, and the very reason that women don't come forward is because they know all too well, the backlash that they will face.

Completely agree with all the comments abut power dynamics and internalised misogyny. It never fails to surprise me how some people cannot recognise that their views are extremely dated and how they are not open to thinking about things in another way. Women have had to put up with this crap for far too long.

Maybe we are actually finally getting somewhere where woman do feel they can speak up where previously they didn’t and ultimately ANYTHING that makes you feel uncomfortable (female or male) you have every right to make that known and not let it slide as “banter” On a side note I’m actually quite disappointed about this one and seem to be in the minority that he seemed decent enough

It’s always the ones that you most suspect.

I am not ultra sensitive to crude jokes etc - quite the opposite, but I have always despised him. What excuse did he offer for breaking into peoples homes and stealing their personal possessions? An absolute twit does that.
I’m team Paul Young.

After being a convicted burglar (how low can you go violating someone's -anyone's! - home?), he was virtually handed new career by ITV.

I believe Kim W when she now says he was edited favourably on IAC and was set up to win; she couldn't have said anything at the time because it'd look like sour grapes as she was the runner up.

He wasn't at all grateful of this second chance, instead the same arrogance and entitlement he displayed as a crim was (allegedly) directed towards women as a power flex.

A headline on Mailonline yesterday claimed Fred was showing support for Gino. Apparently Fred liked G's Insta post but the like was no longer there, so hopefully done in error by Fred or his team, then swiftly reversed.

I'd be very disappointed if Fred's on team Gino, Fred doesn't come across as the desperate, slimy type who'd join in with G's 'banter'. We all know creeps keep comments out of earshot of peers or superiors.

I bet Gordon is just as bad tbh. Also why do these men do this when they have children? Do they not think of them at all? Gino has a daughter, would that be acceptable for a man to say that to her? Gregg Wallace has kids. Great example to set but it’s ok because you’re a “TV star” 🙄

Or why do they stop and think only when they have daughters. The women they harass and belittle are somebody's daughter too.
