Sadly, yes

If you're gonna mention trans men to be more inclusive, that's fine. But don't substitute people for women!
Saying people and not women is dangerous.

They are underestimating how lacking/nonexistent sex education is and that some women and girls don’t understand their body parts; don’t know what a cervix is and if they have one.

Wtffffff!
I'm all for including trans men but just say women AND trans men, I'm sorry but the transwomen who would feel offended at that can fuck right off 😡

Absolutely!!! Sex education in Ireland is particularly woeful

Its scary as I can 100% guarantee at ages 11-15 had I been that age now I would have thought I was in the wrong gender. I would have googled why I felt my body was wrong (hated the changes so so much and wore jumpers to cover it etc) and the transgenser pushers would have popped up and that would be that, my impressional teenage brain would have been messed with. Even female names for things made me shudder (such as purse instead of wallet) and I hated my name as its so feminine.

As I was that age in the 90s I just grew out of it all and now im a straight woman with 4 children and a happy marriage. Quite ok with having boobs now and all my curves. Periods can fuck off though tbh lol.

I didn't mean that the world is more dangerous for trans women than for cis women (though I'd suspect it possibly is, I'll need to do more research on that). I meant why would a cis man pretend to be a trans woman in order to access women's spaces to harm cis women? If men want to attack us then they unfortunately have many ways to do so already
I don’t agree that the world is more dangerous for transwomen than for women at all. But do please research.

Men don’t just want to attack women and girls, they do attack, rape and kill women and girls... and now they have a totally valid excuse for walking into women’s and girls facilities. All they have to do is they’re trans, there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ level or stage of transition according to current gender ideology. So a man who has no desire to socially or medically transition can enter these facilities and because of the repercussions of misgendering, we can’t challenge him.

Love that! That's as it should be, it's up to mens rugby to be more inclusive to trans women, it's not up to womens sports to be more inclusive in this instance.

Check out this post from the CEO of TENI (trans equality network Ireland), it is jaw dropping and completely devoid of self awareness.

If you're a "genital attracted individual" you're an ignorant bigot

Bottom line is, when you're a trans identified male and regardless of whether your preference is lesbians or straight men, you can't trick either of those parties into fancying you.

It would be no different to me hanging around Grindr and trying to trick a gay man into fancying me because "maybe he'll like my personality and we'll connect and he won't care that I've got a vagina"

These people are thick, entitled and lacking in self awareness
I'm bisexual, so a lot of people assume I'd happily date someone trans as I like both sets of genitals, but nope. I'm not sexually attracted to surgically engineered organs that don't work naturally. But it's not just that - I don't have the understanding or emotional capacity to support someone who is transgender. My ex came out as non binary while we were together, I've seen what it's like first hand for someone to doubt their identity, and I just do not have the head space for it!

And let me tell you, having a man who just wears nail polish act like he understood anything about periods, pregnancy, and ultimately my terrifying emergency twin C section was a ginormous kick in the ovaries. Glad to get that off my chest!

It's tricky for me to answer questions that are posed with the base assumption that trans women are trying to infiltrate female spaces in order to harm them, but I'll try.
1. No
2. All children should be taught what behaviour is appropriate and what is inappropriate, and this includes sexual behaviour from adults. All children should be encouraged to discuss things that make them uncomfortable or scared with a trusted adult. Some of those fears will turn out to have a basis in fact, some will not. I do not believe that a fear of trans people as a group is something that should be encouraged in children.
3. I don't know, possibly.
I must say I find your answer to the first question rather shocking. Can I ask, given your answer, do you advocate for the removal of single sex spaces altogether in that case? I really am surprised you feel that women and girls don’t deserve to have their own penis free spaces.

I don’t feel those questions were asked on the assumption that “transwomen are trying to infiltrate spaces to harm”. I certainly don’t think that at all and I’m sure many others here feel the same way. The ever broadening umbrella of gender ideology and the loose criteria for self identification is what I have an issue with.

People like you are more concerned with hurting a trans persons feelings than the feelings of an 80 year old woman who feels vulnerable by an obvious male. People like you think women/ girls don't deserve to be in penis free spaces. People like you think a woman complaining about a penis in changing rooms is in the wrong. So if anyone feels uneasy or threatened its going to be difficult to seek help because they might be deemed transphobic, bigoted, prejudiced
This!! 🙏

Coupled with the erasure of the words women/woman from cervical cancer literature, period products etc. While the word man is still used for prostate literature are my two biggest issues

That endo article is infuriating. It takes on average 7 years to get an endo diagnosis. It helps nobody to pit white women and women of colour against each other on this. The real culprit are the medical professions who routinely downplay women's pain and suffering in health and don't listen to us or take us seriously.

I'm okay with people inventing ridiculous labels for themselves but it should not be forced on wider society.

TRAs are always squealing to let people live how they want to... and yet are constantly trying to label themselves, others, create stupid buzz words and descriptors to pigeon hole and tribalise. Just fuck offffff will you.

A parent forcing a kid that young to have blockers when they don't understand the medical implications is akin to taking a child to a doctor who would perform illegal FGM, imo. It's physically harmful, surely against the children's rights, and is highly likely done because of the ego of the parent. Horrific. If a well informed adult wants to take drugs to change their body, go ahead, but to gofundme for a kid this young.... I, have no words. I still believed in tooth fairies at that age for goodness sake... Certainly not of an age to make such a critical decision about my life!

Does it bother anyone else that anyone that mentions gender on other threads, even if it’s relevant to the discussion, gets shut down by other posters and told to come to this thread? Like, almost everything else is ok to discuss when it comes to celebs and influencers, but gender is where people draw the line? I’m not saying it should be brought up often, but when it comes up naturally it gets shut down right away. It’s like people are scared of discussing it.

I’m grateful to have this thread btw, I think it’s fab.

If any of these gender obsessed plonkers want to push this nonsense, a short, sharp shutting down is needed. To use a phrase, “nip that in the bud” ASAP!
Honestly I think the best response is just - 'No.'
They can't make you do this. I can't see a way it is legal.
'I don't want to display my sex.' protected characteristic in equality legislation; personal data under GDPR.
'but it's not about your sex, it's about your gender.'
'Well I don't believe in gender ideology.' article 9 ECHR - freedom of thought and belief.

Dangerous game for employers to be playing, IMO.

saw a tweet on twitter referring to the fact that endometriosis is trending. Glad it's trending but let's stop calling it women's health - is the gist of it. I'm a sufferer and this has been an unknown incurable disease for.. centuries? forever and we're barely getting traction and they're making it about them! I have no words. Men's health never gets attacked though.

"I'll be protecting my mental health" can we talk for a second about how all these people are so fragile, can we wonder if maybe it is their mental health? If being transgender in itself is part of a bigger mental health problem? Just thoughts.
Most of these posts are just for the likes, the feux drama, and of course the attention.

The problem as I see it (and as speaking as a "nasty transphobic" lesbian;)), is that these woke groups will end up eating each other as they try to put their particular gender identity front and centre. Originally their criticisms was aimed at heterosexuals, but what we are seeing now is transexuals taking a bite out of lesbians. And it all probability lesbian groups will retaliate by taking a bite out of trans groups, and so it goes....

There used to be a band called "Pop will eat itself". I think today we're seeing Identity Politics slowing eating itself.

Is anyone else not bothered about being called a TRANSPHOOOOOOBE anymore? I genuinely don’t care because it’s so fucking puerile and thrown out with such regularity it has no effect.
Me neither, because I know I’m not a transphobe ultimately. When you know that’s the case, and people are therefore just saying it to try and shut you up because they can’t actually respond to your arguments (like our new friend earlier) it becomes meaningless. I pity the people who are so thick they have to resort to mindless name calling when they come unstuck in a discussion.

Fuck sake a friend just shared this on insta

WHYYY do people making TRA arguments always start with "gender and sex are different" and then go on to use intersex people as their way to prop up their argument??? You just said gender and sex are different so what have intersex people got to do with trans people?! That's right, sweet fuck all. Leave them alone.
