i agree, which is why i used a muslim woman in my hypothetical example. religion shouldn't come into it, but i wonder if a muslim nurse or doctor was like: my beliefs, my family, my husband etc won't allow me to change clothes in front of a man, whether the NHS would suspend her for saying Upton was a man or whether they'd be in a quandary about who's rights they want to support.

The idea that it's "disrespectful" to call a man a man needs to be dissected and called out for what it is. Demanding, aggressive men calling women disrespectful for not participating in their self image.

The reason Muslim women's need for single sex spaces is defended by all is that it comes from submission to Muslim men and their mad ideas about female modesty. There would be no quandary at all, because it is the men who are deferred to with this argument, not the women.

I kept thinking of SP last night. Being suspended from your job is a very serious matter. It's usually for something like assault/ fraud/ etc etc. And here you have a woman like many of us on here, I'm sure who was working hard in her chosen profession, for many years. Like all of us, I am sure there were good days and bad.
I am trying to imagine how she felt on being informed she was being suspended basically because of a man's hurty feelings. It's almost unimaginable and yet it did happen.
I am hoping that whoever has to account for taking that decision is sweating right now at the thought of taking the stand to answer NC's questions.

This guy doesn't know his a from his elbow! He works for NHS but knows little (more likely he pretends to not know) of the rules/regulations!
i think it's that they're jobless incels with no money but want to support people with labels!

If NHS Fife has a dignity and respect at work policy, that could account for his frequent use of 'respect', possibly trying to make some kind of point. There does not appear to be a lot of respect from him towards any of the colleagues he has named so far, so it feels like a bit of a zero sum approach, if that's what he's driving at.
