Did I read somewhere earlier Dr Upton saying something about just wanting respect re changing room incident? Can someone point me in the right direction of this part of the questioning, if I have indeed not made it up.

He said it repeatedly, so it should be quite easy to find.

He doesn’t understand the meaning of words like “respect”, “justice” and “harassment” any more than he understands “male”, “female” or indeed “obnoxious bellend”. oh, wait, sorry, that last one was just me editorialising, it’s not actually been said out loud in court 🫢

I stayed with an abusive man who physically is very like Dr Upton pre-transition. I genuinely have no idea what was going through my head. I went from a young, attractive, fun person to a downtrodden shell of myself who spent my life walking on eggshells, and he criticised me relentlessly for that, despite the fact he was the cause. Every moment of my life was waiting for him to kick off. I honestly can't fathom why I put up with it, other than I didn't think I deserved any better?

Now I'm older I realise that some people are just bleeping horrible, self-serving people without the capacity for redemption. They are pleasant only as manipulation and their entire lives are a game of domination that everyone around them is sucked into. I think a lot of women make the mistake of thinking all men have humanity and the capacity for empathy, and they really don't.

I take no tit now but it took until my mid 30s to get there. As much as I am critical of handmaidens who enable these men, there's a good chance he is emotionally abusive and controlling and we've seen what the trans brigade do to women who don't fall in line. I do hope she comes out of this OK, and doesn't spend her life shackled to this creep.

I've actually had a really good conversation with my 'trans' teen regarding this and want to show her whilst she's still in the "why would you say that? You look like an idiot" mindset. She really wasn't impressed with his biologically female remark as even tho she sees herself as a trans man she's still biologically female and if anyone asked her she'd say as much. This may actually be the case that makes my daughter realise why I've been ranting for years about men in dresses.

I'm always going to feel for the women in these situations. I've seen friends go through it, it's easy to say you'd leave but when you've had your confidence eroded it must be so difficult.

It will be interesting to hear from his superiors what his official complaint actually included? I cannot cannot believe that an employer deliberately suspended a staff nurse, just because she stated facts to a junior doctor.

As for the more serious offense that Dr Beth alleges. IF Dr U claimed that Sandie walked out of a cubicle in the middle of resuscitating a patient because he entered, .... Surely this claim needed a date.... and would have had A & E notes about the incident ...really really simple notes, eg date patient came, and basic treatment and outcome notes. it would be simple to start cross references this by looking at the dates they both were working! So why on earth is he saying he has no idea of these details? It just makes it sound so made up!!

And Sandie herself surely would have remembered an event like this. ? And.......thinking of hospital dramas ive seen, surely if a nurse is getting tired after performing a resus, which can be quite heavy work until crash team equipment arrives, then it makes sense to remove yourself from a small space, when reinforcements arrive? It might well have nothing at all to do with the gender status of anyone else!

Yes, as always with these men, and those who support them, kindness and respect are meant to flow one way, only. Towards them. He wanted to feel safe and comfortable (I think he used both of those words) well then, stay out of the women's changing room, and stop pretending to think you're a woman, FFS. It's that simple.

I'm hopeful that his career goes down the drain after this. I presume whatever bellend made the decision to suspend SP because of this man's hurty feelings has to take the stand for questioning by the formidable NC. Bring it on!
