About ten to maybe five, six years ago, nobody batted an eye about people being trans. Live and let live, and especially trans people were very much happy not flaunting being trans, but happy to live their lives. I know some people who transitioned during that time, all female to male, and in all cases, were hoping for a quiet life. As one of them said, it was about being done and not some sexual fetish thing.
These days, and more often than not, it is all about being shouty about it and its men claiming to be women, yet claiming is all they do.
And what is this imbecile Upton harping about “respect”, what does he actually want, what does he deem worthy of showing respect? Do women need to undress in front of random people to show their respect? Just him? Does he request men to undress in front of him? Jesus, the word lost all meaning.

I realised at the age of 16 that I was not comfortable with the "gender identity" (as in, the external and socially imposed expectations of being female) and have considered myself a radical feminist since.

Does that make me trans?

What utter word salad rit they talk.

So as this is an employment tribunal I assume there can be no sanctions against Upton himself even if SP wins?

As his employer gave him permission to go into CR they can’t exactly sack him for that.

Maybe if it is determined he made up allegations without their knowledge they could go down that route if they so wanted.

Could any outcome force them to change their changing room policy?

I think there can be repercussions for him on the basis of making up false claims or meddling/inventing those emails. Which is indeed where some of the questioning was going.

How on earth is someone expected to approach him and express discomfort while still using his approved language? You would have to say I feel uncomfortable with you in the changing room because you're female which is nonsense.

I knew he would claim that people should talk to him directly. If SP had done an official grievance instead he would have been howling that she should have come to him directly.

Meanwhile, a separate crowdfunder for nurse Sandie Peggie – who has taken Dr Beth Upton and NHS Fife to an employment tribunal – has raised more than EIGHT TIMES as much!
