Helen Joyce is gender critical. I’m sure the death and rape threats have started already. I have high hopes for the book because she’s pretty fearless.

I’m really looking forward to Kathleen Stock’s new book, Material Girls. She’s doing an online talk tonight I’m hoping to drop into!

I’ve pre-ordered it! Looking forward to it.

Re: Dawkins, I think he is pussy-footing around the issue as he propably doesn’t subscribe to gender cult but is too wimpy to call it out fully, so I think he is trying to look “impartial”. I mean, he has endorsed Helen Joyce’s book afterall.

Oooh I’ll have a look at that book too.

I wonder if it's possible to 'take back' a book endorsement - I guess it'll have gone to print by now.

If he does then it makes him look like he doesn’t know his own mind very well. It’s out in July so perhaps he still has time to revoke his words. I do think though if he gave her that endorsement freely then surely he’s GC? I don’t understand his hesitation on Twitter though, as this is the guy who was not afraid to call out God and religion, but seems to be afraid of fully calling out gender ideology. What a time to be alive, aye!

I wish a transwomen who claims to have periods was at my house today to see the bloody mess in my bathroom. I get large blood clots and had basically filled two night time pads within three hours. I'm so glad I was WFH today so I could shower my legs off.

Have no problem with transwomen who are respectful but frankly they can duck off when they say they have periods. They don't have the worry that they might leak everywhere when they go out. They don't feel dirty at work because you don't feel properly clean. They don't worry that people can smell the blood on them. They don't need to.worry about coughing or sneezing incase a big blood clot comes out and floods their sanitary towel. They aren't risking TSS using tampons.

Tempted to use the photos I have taken today (for when I can get a Dr's appointment), open a twitter account and post the photos in response to those who claim they get a bleeping period.

(Sorry, hormonal, angry, uncomfortable and pissed off from my actual female body and hormones putting me through this tit monthly - I say monthly try more like 3 weekly...)

If your birth year is in your user name and your periods are getting closer together and heavier then you're almost certainly perimenopausal. You may find the GP does an FSH test but if in the UK then they aren't supposed to after the age of 45 as the test is unreliable. TBH once you're in peri the test is worthless anyway.

Thank you, that explains a lot!! Wondered why I'd gone from a regular 31-day cycle for the past 30 years down to 26 days for the last few months.

Usually periods start getting closer together and then gradually further apart. I've posted in the Menopause thread some of the (random)symptoms to look out for so have a quick look on there. It's actually pretty sad that so few women know that this is an indicator of peri. If you have had anxiety or insomnia lately that will also be linked. It's not all hot flushes, I'm 6 years in and still haven't had a hot flush

Apparently this is also happening to a lot of women due to lockdown, although they’re not really sure why. My cycle has got shorter too, but I’ve gained a bit of weight, so in my case that’s probably why.

Yep and barely any research, meanwhile some tosser wants to know of any period apps for his her non existent period. Qiuite frankly they can get to the back of the bleeping queue. These tossers are delusional, they will never be female, they will never experience the terror of being 13 years old and having to wear a tampax and a towel and pray that it holds out till the end of lessons. Having to go swimming and know there is a fair chance that as soon as you get out the pool there is going to be a stream of blood running down your leg and all the boys are going to take the piss repeatedly for the next 3 years. Being too scared to wear anything white on your lower body, Ruining your posture because you're having to wear a 36C bra at 11 years old and therefore go everywhere with your shoulders hunched and your arms crossed in front of you. How bleeping dare they stamp all over our experiences as young women.

I wonder how many other women just aren’t aware of all the erasure. Maybe it goes over their heads a bit like it would have done mine not long ago.
I probably wouldn’t have worried too much about any company using ‘people who menstruate’ a year ago but since the whole JKR awakening, I would now just boycott them. I deleted the period app Clue a while back as I noticed (at last- scales/eyes thing) they’d used some bollocks about a ‘period-haver’ or similar. Now I will only use Flo which states the word WOMEN throughout- shame it’s being seen as a rebellious act to say women have periods.

And they wonder why women don't want "gender neutral" facilities. No peace from being perved on, not even taking a shower at work.

Mr Eaton was arrested later that morning and said in his interview "his balding hair was out of place and he needed to use the high pressure shower to wash it so that it would stick down,"

If you're going to be a digusting pervert at least own up to it - and don't blame it on your balding head and then run away. What a sad, nasty tit stain on humanity this pig is. The Police must have zero standards for recruits if they let scum like this in.

And of course he phoned in sick and wiped his phone. SCUM.

It's just reminded me of the epidemic of spy-cam 'porn' in South Korea that historically has had a lot of unisex bathrooms in crowded cities

I'd be happy if everywhere had a third unisex option for people who would feel comfortable using it but I don't see why it needs to be a) only unisex or b) male and unisex options

I've previously seen men + gender neutral washroom.
