It’s insane. Abject cruelty.
My son is only 10 but he’s been going through puberty for some time already (luckily coping with it well even though he’s quite young I think) and he’s pretty tall for his age so obviously that is more and more noticeable and he’s almost as tall as me.. what I hadn’t realised was the change in his strength
he asked to arm wrestle me the other day and I literally couldn’t get anywhere close to beating him. I’m not super built up fit but fit and consider myself pretty strong from my years carrying my gigantic children around but I had absolutely no chance against a 10 year old boy. Also his kick now in football is full pelt and seriously hurts if you’re on the end of it. The change was rapid and extreme. He is ten and stronger than me for sure.
Also guiding him through this stage (mainly with humour to be honest!) I cannot begin to imagine doing so in a way that suggested this wasn’t a normal natural process that every adult he knows has been through and survived just fine. That it’s funny and smelly and normal!
To think some people actually indulge their kids in this idea that this could cause them to die is so unthinkable. Sometimes when I have seen terrible things about little children dying of cancer, I think my god how do you have conversations with your own child about their death
I don’t think there could be anything worse to deal with. So to actually tell kids they might die if they go through puberty seems truly like the most grotesque and cruel thing to do.
I feel ill too. Like I just can't quite believe this is actually happening. I hope that woman (the real one) doesn't get seriously injured.
Oh I got the time from the team GB app so I assumed it was UK time. Just had another look and it doesn’t give a timezone at all. I would go with Eurosport if that’s on their schedule.

Let's hope they are fully transparent with who carries out the review. They mustn't have anything to gain by trying to discredit the report - not a hormone drug pusher, pharmaceutical connections or butcher, sorry I mean surgeon. And this should include family members, friends, business adventures & investment. Whoever does the review must be 100% neutral.
I just don't get why the BMA thinks it's a dog in this fight. It's a trade union, its role is to protect the employment and contractual interests of its members, and its members didn't vote on this decision.
It's interesting that when the BMA announced they were holding a vote about this, there was a lot of dissent onpReddit - the docs want the BMA to focus on the ongoing payment dispute, not gender identity ideology.

bleeping hell. Imagine 'loathing' fictional TV characters from the 1970s. I've often wondered what would happen to comedy if playing on stereotypes was banned outright. Wouldn't pretty much everything die on its a apart from slapstick and surrealism? I'm also confused about the point that Crocodile Dundee was some sort of sneer at working class Aussies... Didn't Paul Hogan work as a bricklayer or something similar before he got in to comedy?
