This is a bit of a rant, just to get it off my chest. I'm so sick of seeing women pander to these blokes. I'm a recovering alcoholic and I'm part of a Facebook group exclusively for women in recovery. This bloody bloke/ stunning and brave trans woman (🙄) posts a smug little selfie on a daily basis, and the comments are absolutely unbelievable.

All the actual women who post might get a handful of likes and even less comments. This bloke will literally get hundreds and hundreds of likes and comments, all fawning over him and going out of their way to make sure he knows they see him as a woman. "You go girl!" "Omg your curls are AMAZING, sister!" "Love seeing other women doing well!" "That blouse is AMAZING on you!" "Girl, I wish I had your hair!" and so on and so on. It's actually embarrassing to see them all falling all over themselves to heap relentless praise on him, especially considering they don't bother to show anywhere near that level of support to actual women. One of them posted she'd been sober for 10 years today, and got 8 likes and about two comments ffs. Yet this bloke shouldn't even be in the group in the first place, doesn't take his sobriety seriously so we get daily "sober for x amount of days" until around a month, when he won't post for a few weeks and then we get "Sober for a day today!", never bothers to respond to anyone's over the top supportive comments, and surprise surprise doesn't ever comment on other people's posts offering support to anyone else. Yet another example of a bloke using a women's space to validate his "girlness" and stroke his own ego.

I'm so sick of seeing women do this to ourselves. Why are we so desperate to fall at the feet of these men, at the complete detriment to other women, who we don't even offer a fraction of the support to.

While I'm ranting, I'm also sick to death of women seeing drag queens and gleefully exclaiming "He looks better in a dress than me!" "I wish I had legs like that!" Why are we so desperate to tell men they're better than us, and better at being us?

Thanks, I feel better now 😂

Welcome TERFS 🥰

This is the thread where men are men and women are women.

You can't change your sex.

The trans rights movement is a homophobic, misogynistic movement that preys on vulnerable people.

Onwards!

My daughter met a they/them friend, and other female friends to go to the cinema today. I had SO much fun asking where she was meeting they, and was it them’s birthday, and was them all going to they’s house after etc. And then she said ‘she’ by accident, so I called her a transphobic bigot and said she should educate herself. I dunno about her but I had a great time.
There’s a lot of sighing and eye rolling in this house.

We’re at an odd point in time where most people don’t truly believe this rubbish eg TWAW (especially if they trouble themselves to think about it in any depth) but they are unwilling or unable to say so. An example, my 16 year old son brought up the subject and said he and his friends had discussed it privately and agreed it was indeed nonsense. I asked him why the need for private discussion and he said they wouldn’t dare to say so at school as they would be punished, and it wouldn’t matter if they stated a protected belief, their argument would be ignored. He has seen this happen, even though their PSE curriculum espouses support for the child’s self acceptance over blind affirmation. I was upset by this and further disappointed when he said it didn’t really matter because it’s not affecting him or his friends. I tried arguing with him that it doesn’t matter until it does- one day it will be your sister or mother or friend who suffers but he didn’t want to get into it (he knows the conversation isn’t over 😅).
But this interaction summed it up for me. People don’t believe it. They can’t speak out for the real threat of being sanctioned. They won’t protest because it’s not directly affecting them at this point in time. It’s being forced on the faceless many, by the loud few, and by the time most people are bothered enough by it to care it will be too late because it will be enshrined in law and before you know it we will all be at the mercy of the perverts and bad actors who will be the only ones to benefit. To quote the song: “if you tolerate this, then your children will be next”.
I work in an industry that is totally "captured" and would be immediately cancelled and vilified if I dared voice my views. I am becoming more depressed and angry with each day that passes that I cannot speak out freely and share how I truly feel. The simple fact is that I would lose my business if I did.

When I joined Tattle back in 2019, never did I ever think I'd end up on this thread. I've always considered myself extremely open-minded, left-wing etc. I now find myself hating those I once supported.

I have spent a lot of today crying. Feeling very scared and hopeless right now.

It’s so ridiculous, there are so many groups for women that DO allow trans people in (so much so that it’s almost impossible to find one that isn’t overrun with boring trans look-at-me shite). Why are they so insistent on joining the few that are exclusively for women?? There are also groups just for trans people and you don’t see women barging in and throwing tantrums that we’re being excluded. Such typical male behaviour to kick up a fuss when women tell you no.
This post sums it up, imo. They just can't bear that women, actual women, the real deal, have anything to themselves.

.

I'm just boycotting the whole Olympics. It's become a platform for trans ideology if what I hear of the opening ceremony is true, and for posers like Tom Daley to keep showing us his muscles and to gain more Instagram fame. But I'm not particularly a sporty person either so I wasn't that interested anyway.
I dislike Tom Daley for two reasons. One, I read an interview with him ages ago where he was almost dismissive of women's concerns over trans issues. However he knows perfectly well what a woman is when he wants to buy a baby. Two, the media almost make out as if he invented knitting and crochet, as if men and women haven't been knitting and crocheting for hundreds of years...

I often get tricked into thinking the majority of tattle is on the right side of all of this until a terfy comment I make on another thread gets more sick reactions than anything else and is *still* getting sick reactions after nearly a week and it’s quite disheartening
I've always thought it's the result of women being conditioned to play nice.

I will be honest, when I found this thread I was taken aback at how blunt and direct some of the posts were. Not because I was offended, but because I was so used to the handmaiden attitudes. You know the ones, saying blokes in a dress with a 5 o'clock shadow under the layers of foundation were stunning and asking for makeup tips. I knew I was never OK with men claiming to be women but thought it made me bigoted because every other woman around me said it was fine and would trot out the TWAW mantra. It was reassuring to find out that loads of other people have the same thoughts.

A third child has died after the Southport stabbings. I want to cry. Innocent kids just enjoying a dance class and deliberately targeted.

Instead of the imaginary epidemic of “violence against trans people,” which simply does not exist in the UK, we please address the very real epidemic of violence against women and girls.

Thought "Steph" Richards had stepped down from 'Endometriosis South Coast'?
"Many women's health conditions"...which you can never experience 'Steph', much less be an expert on because you're neither a woman nor a doctor! Article in paper this morning...View attachment 3069132
Fuck this dude, and everyone who looks like him.
I've mentioned before that I have stage 4 endo. Even with most of my reproductive organs removed endometrial tissue is still growing in my body. To see this man insert himself makes me so angry, he'll never know the shameful feeling of his health issues being dismissed as 'all in your mind' or 'eat more fruit, you might be constipated.'
I won't go in to detail but once I was diagnosed it was too late.

These men make my fucking nostrils flare, I'm going through a particularly bad episode right now so I'm probably taking it a bit too personally but it's so insulting, demeaning and hurtful.

I hope his prostate gives him grief for eternity.

Why is the BBC so obsessed with drag queens? The country could be hit by a nuclear bomb and they'd still be running articles like 'what nuclear fallout means for drag queens and 50 ways you can help'.

I don't hate drag as a concept (although I can see why people do), but we're so far now from anything actually funny or requiring talent. It just seems like 'become a drag queen' has become the go-to lifestyle choice for a particular type of woman-hating man so long as he clear the very low bar of applying makeup (badly) and yelling in a wig. Oh great, here's another guy whose drag name is Whoredry Hepburn caked in cheap foundation and calling drunk women bitches over brunch. That's really problematising gender.

Letter circulated to some 22,000 students of Trinity College Dublin by the newly elected SU President "Jenny", a trans female, encouraging people to attend the upcoming Trans and Intersex Pride.

"Your allyship can no longer be passive..."

Or what? Am I (a female) being threatened if I don't indulge your beliefs?
I'm so fucking angry about this (even though I graduated over 20 years ago!)
As an intersex person, I'd like to say "thanks but no thanks" to him. I'm not "queer" and have absolutely nothing in common with trans-identified people. I don't get why intersex people need support and "allyship" from a pack of students anyway.

Another good one - ask them why it's always "cervix havers," "menstruators," "bleeding people," "pregnant people," and "non-men" rather than "testicle owners," "people with penises," "spunkers," "incapable of pregnancy people" and "non-women." Doesn't that tell you where the TRAs priorities really are?

Even if a person later “changes legal gender”, a birth certificate should never be altered. This is simple lying on official documents.

I don’t feel comfortable shaming Brianna’s Mam. On the face of it she failed him by allowing too much social media/internet exposure and pandering to the trans stuff. But that kid was also failed by school, health professionals, family and probably others to end up looking like a middle aged pornsick man’s fantasy of a schoolgirl. He had obviously had mental health problems for years with eating disorders, self harm and risk taking behaviours; combine this with being chronically online and you get a vulnerable child indeed. Even the headteacher’s comments made me uncomfortable, along the lines of “dear Brianna with your short skirts, false nails and bad attitude”, do they also just let the girls get away with that? I feel like the Mam just clutched at the trans false lifeline- finally something she could do to make her kid happy and steer away from suicide. And after the poor kid has been murdered by those two misfits their whole lives have been put under the microscope and she’s now trying to use the lessons learned to help other kids. As usual it’s the TRAs who have hijacked the cause that are threatening to undermine any good that could be clawed out of such a tragedy.

The suffragettes were fighting for the right for women to vote.
The pay gap exists because men get paid more than women for the same job.
The vaginal mesh scandal, WASPI case, rape culture, VAWG, abortion rights...

All of these things (and many more) affect only/almost exclusively women.

As a woman, the unjustness and effects of living in a man's world are at the very core of my being. The fact that these things only affect women are what it means to be a woman. So why do transwomen (who say they are women) remain so unaffected?

In the times of the suffragettes, they wouldn't have been affected - they could still have voted.
More recently, the gender pay gap wouldn't apply.
No vagina, no risks due to vaginal mesh.
No need to worry about WASPI issues.
The chance of being raped or overpowered or sexually assaulted for a male by a male is SIGNIFICANTLY lower (despite the recent horrific case which I'm horrified by).
Abortion rights dictated by men will never be an issue of loss of freedom to make their own choices about their own body for men.

Yet, taking the DNA and chromosomes out of it, these all feed in to what being a woman is.

All those mini skirts, blue hair-dos, make up routines, ghost cramps and fishnet stockings are just decoration that some women buy into and some don't. What makes them feel like a woman underneath all that? Because for me, I feel like a warrior on the inside, not a Barbie doll. And I'm still a woman.
