So the people from the BMA undertaking the review of the Cass report - are they going to be unbiased? Are they going to go into the research with an open mind?

Are they going to be covered by their professional insurance when the current trickle of detransitoners becomes a deluge . . .

I am devastated for that Italian girl. Hopefully her national federation have the balls to speak up for her.
If they honestly let this guy through to the end then the olympics is over for me

I hope the Hungarian wins because Hungary are more likely to go crazy over it than Australia. Today was sickening.

The size difference is ridiculous. I’ve met Carl frampton before who is a small Irish boxer and probably(definitely) weighs less than me and he is shorter than me but he could knock the duck out of me, mostly because I am unfit but partly down to DNA.
But the fact anyone is watching that and saying it is ok is baffling. I’m gutted that the women have no choice but to do this. Imagine you had a once in a life time to represent your country in the Olympics. It is easy to say they should just refuse but some people may not have the financial means to do that and also they could have their national federation putting pressure on them.

It's punch force, but it's limb length as well. A male boxer of X height has a longer reach than a female one, because mens limbs are longer in proportion to their bodies than women's.

And all of these denials of the advantages men have re strength have been proven to be nonsense.

at first I was disappointed she went in the ring at all (Carini) but in hindsight this is much more newsworthy. Good for her.

Thanks for this, I’ve just watched it. And balled my eyes out what a brave, brave woman but the heartbreak in her face afterwards is soul destroying. I’ve never competed, I’m not even fit at the moment but in the past I’ve trained for endurance events and that’s tough enough never mind all the blood sweat and tears that go into Olympics. For some atheletes they will also only get one chance. She’s so right that this is so unfair.

I’m proud of her for not continuing. I think it sends a stronger message to pull out in the ring rather than beforehand. Not that they should ever be put in that position in the first place. I hope the other women who have to face him will now have the courage to do the same, especially if in the moment they feel the physical threat.

They Italian government is meant to be conservative too isn't it? Hopefully they'll kick up a fuss. I can't believe that this could just pass by without leading to change.
