I'm wary of a lot of anti-surrogacy arguments ... they often play heavily on "a child has the RIGHT to be with his/her birth mother!" which is very easily turned into anti-abortion or the idea that women should be forced to take care of children they don't want or aren't prepared for. But Owen and people like him make it very clear they think they have some kind of right to women's bodies. I've seen a lot of younger trans people casually dismiss concerns about having children with the idea of surrogacy or violent rhetoric about forcing "TERFs" to give birth

I think its a problem when it becomes about money and 'buying' children and treating women as incubators. Impoverished women being maybe forced by circumstance into it etc.
Oddly I have encountered quite a few pro-sex industry activists who understand why making surrogacy (especially if commercial) more widespread and legal isn't a good idea, even if some women consent to it. But can't apply the same logic to prostitution

ETA. I'm not a scientist, but would a transplanted uterus even be able to carry a child? I'm doubtful. There's so much more going on than just incubation ffs.
