A man can run a woman’s health charity. A man who has been openly offensive towards women in his larping and also in his social media presence should not. Downright creepy towards Milli Hill, he is not a suitable face for a woman’s charity.

As women we read that and see it as a threat, even if not intended that way because we always have to be on the look out. If he had ANY understading whatsoever of what it is like to be a woman he would not have worded the sign off like that! But he's a man, and clearly thinks like one.
Of course, if men DID suffer with such a painful and debilitating condition, you just know that there would be no need for charity, nor would sufferers be waiting for around 10 years for a diagnosis

I am sure many on the thread will remember Mridul Wadhwa, the TiM who was appointed as CEO of Edinburgh grape Crisis a couple of years ago.
Ask yourself why these TiMs are so attracted to roles that involve being close to women who are in vulnerable situations.
They have no place leading organisations or charities that are related to women. There are plenty of female charity CEOs who are more than qualified to do this.
It’s deeply concerning and wrapped up with a sense of entitlement. Why does a qualified person have to engage with this individual at all? Followed up by a literal: “I know where you live.”
Of course women are capable of terrible things but they just don’t think or sound like this. It’s always interesting to see time spent on physical “passing” (whether successful or not) whilst the mindset remains male all day long.
Women might like make-up and heels or might not. But I don’t know a woman who hasn’t learned through socialisation and experience to be wary of demanding, over-familiar, aggressive (passive or otherwise) and/or creepy males. That reference to home address was as telling as any Adam’s apple.

Strategy has always been important. Consider the work of groups like Press for Change in getting same-sex marriage legalised only where one party claims to be another sex, ahead of actual same-sex marriage, or that regulations that mean it is illegal for some public bodies to disclose a person’s biological sex, when there is no legal restriction on outing gay people to be found in legislation. PfC and others recognised that they could get laws pushed through in the background without Joe (or Joanna) Public noticing on “human rights” grounds that had been consistently rejected for gay people, but were a special case for (as they claimed) the very very small number of trans people in the UK (less than 5,000 people were expected to apply for GRCs, back when it was expected such applicants would be the only trans people around).
Another tactic as we have seen with these moves on charities is ahead of any law changes, to try to effectively normalise self-ID or the idea of males in a multitude of spaces and roles that should be preserved for females. This is all tactical, but is now not going unnoticed, thankfully.

Also, he’s 71. Well past the age that most people work. Most people retire well before 70. It’s all so odd. An old, out of touch man, with no background in women’s health, a proven record of harassing, threatening and intimidating women. He’s literally the last person who should have been given the job. Or any job!

I would say no. This woman was motivated by her father’s experience of prostate cancer plus she isn’t trying to be something she’s not (ie a man), nor is she trolling or gaslighting anyone.Is this the same ?

Agreed. A cancer charity is different as it's an illness that is close to a lot of people's hearts. Plus she isn't pretending to be the opposite sex.
Charities need to be commercially viable these days so I don't necessarily expect CEOs to have direct experience of the issue itself. But there's something very off with a TiM choosing to involve themselves in an endometriosis charity. I would love to believe there's nothing more to it however most TiMs show themselves to be nasty, misogynistic and spiteful individuals. So I highly doubt they're doing it to be altruistic.
I was reading the MN thread about this topic and it transpires that this charity is absolutely tiny with a turnover of £8,500 last year, which means this is without a doubt an unpaid voluntary role. He was also - get this - invited to take it.
He has zero experience, quite aside from not being a woman and not suffering from endo.
They push for these sorts of roles to legitimise their 'other,' views , by making their appointment carry weight by somehow inducing it onto the views that they hold.

“Been both mum and dad.” Seriously, how can anyone write this? He isn’t a woman, hasn’t given birth, lacks ovaries so there is no way on earth he has been a mum. I honestly despair of how backward thinking all this is. When we have made so much progress scientifically, how on earth is the world once again ruled by ignorance and superstition. It’s like living in the dark ages.
Fed up how organisations try so hard to be inclusive, that they promote men pretending to be women, rather than an actual woman. It’s out and out misogyny.
