Transwomen are celebrated for taking anything and everything from women, their sporting achievements, their awards, their commendation on international women’s day, for being stunning and brave for just going through their “girlhood”, for putting on a dress.

It does definitely feel everywhere now. Even doing the big shop today Tesco had huge boards up on entrance with that ‘all the flags smushed together flag’ on it and I just rolled my eyes. I’m late twenties and find myself gravitating towards older women friendship wise because they see this and many other things in life for what it is.

I despair though that the Suffragettes fought so hard with their lives for Women to be seen and heard and now we’ve got blokes barging into our changing rooms and people tripping over themselves to apologise if they felt they weren’t welcome there.

And then it doesn’t stop there. We’ve got AGP’s ruining the lives of their partners and families whilst seemingly being encouraged by society because it’s ‘brave’, kids wanting to mutilate their bodies for a cause, actual mental health conditions being ‘fashionable’, an apparent genocide on those who are on the cover of Vogue; give me a break! And that’s only a snippet of things that we’ve read and discussed on here this week!

I really do just despair, has everyone lost their minds? Where has this warped logic that’s infiltrated everything in society even come from??

And to the lady who has posted this week about her struggle with her ex partner; I honestly wish you the best.
I’m so glad I found this thread, even though I’m aware of so many more just awful situations, it’s feels so good to know there’s other people to talk to about this who feel the same way.

Full disclosure here, several members of my family are on the autistic spectrum and this is something we all find disturbing. The NAS is captured as an institution. My eldest actually said to me today that he would not be surprised if neurodiversity is added to the pride flag in the future and I think he might be right. He’s already experienced ‘autism pride’ at uni and they had their own flag and everything. He hates it. To him (and me) being autistic is neither something to be proud of or ashamed of. It is just part of who we are. He rarely discloses it because he doesn’t want to be treated differently.

Bella Ramsey is starting to annoy me. She’s 19 and making demands from a whole industry just because she’s non-binary
So apparently we can’t have gendered awards because SHE thinks there shouldn’t. She’s been in the industry for 5 minutes. I think we are starting to see what teens are like who have done the majority of their character/personality forming in the past 5 years, heavily influenced by social media.

This might have been mentioned before but I'm currently in the middle of reading the book Invisible Women By Caroline Criado Perez which is about the data gap that exists between men and women and why this is so dangerous. She does a lot of analysis about how some drugs affect men and women differently, are metabolised differently and how some diseases like a heart attack have a different presentation based on if you are a man or a woman. This data is already being largely ignored as it is but if we literally erase the biological differences between men and women from science then women are going to continue to needlessly die because no one is doing the research to look at specific sex differences.

I am very aware that autism comes in all shapes and sizes and abilities. My son is autistic. Not in the OMGLOOKATMYSQUISHMALLOWCOLLECTIONUWU way, but in the I'm both this mother and legally his carer kind of way, in the I don't know if he'll ever be able to communicate effectively or use the toilet properly way. As in the he will likely need help his entire life way.

And these attention/follower/like seeking teenagers who would likely function absolutely fine were they not obsessed with the idea of being neurodivergent and trans and oppressed have no clue. No clue at all what damage they're actually doing to the nd community.

Sigh. Rant over. Sorry for the slight derail though I feel they go hand in hand nowadays.

I am so ready for this movement to be over. We had an issue in Australia where this week where a welll-known pharmacy chain released some advertising referring to ‘birthing parents’. It went down like a lead balloon and their social media was inundated with comments calling them out. Within a matter of hours, it was changed to Mother. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned for other organisations that this nonsense won’t be blindly accepted. It’s just frustrating that it had to happen in the first place but good to know how many Aussies have their eyes open to it. Now all we need is for our political parties to catch up!

Wtf I thought the whole point of gender dysphoria is they feel repulsed by their biological genitalia. This supposed transman let her partner penetrate her vagina. Good to see the comments though, it does feel like more people feel free to speak out about it. Pride should be to celebrate LGB, and it should be for those who want to celebrate it, and it should not be forced on employees etc to participate. Quite a few of us are. We don't acknowledge trans at all, only gender dysphoria.

I acknowledge AGP and gender dysphoria as psychological conditions.

I refuse to fall for the current social contagion of ‘gender identity issues’. It’s made up. No one had a ‘gender identity’ until the idea gained traction online. No one is ‘born into the wrong body’; that concept is nonsensical.

Why do they always compare to race? I've seen the 'refusing TIMs access to female spaces is the same as refusing black women' argument *so* many times! Appalling.

A white man from Oxford with a posh accent explaining to a black man that his own choosing to style himself in a ratty wig version of Anna Wintour’s hairstyle, and to put on a dress and claim he’s a woman, is the same prejudices that people face for the colour of their skin, something they can’t claim themselves out of? And PinkNews posting it on their feed as (I assume) what they see as positive?

Seems like logic as normal in Transland.

I’m scared to wade in, even anonymously on Tattle. Thank you for providing the other side of the debate. I was very live and let live, but didn’t quite appreciate the erosion of women’s rights (or just the erasure of women in general). It sucks that it can’t meaningfully be debated in public. Gender is a fluid, social construct. Biological sex is not.

I don’t care if men want to wear makeup and dresses. I’m not sure I care particularly if consenting informed adults transition. But there has to be an understanding that you will never be a biological woman, and that means there should be boundaries and restrictions on what you can do.

I removed the pronouns from my Insta account this morning. I’ll buy the new Harry Potter game next pay. Small acts of rebellion

There is nothing to debate. Gender is a fraud, a lie.
You cannot change your sex.
There are two types of men who demand access to womanhood and women's spaces, those who are mentally ill and those who are predators - women should not have to accommodate either.

There is no nuance to Woman.

I was just coming to post the same thing. This is chilling:

Dementia can sometimes cause people to lose their inhibitions and make inappropriate comments. This is a medical problem, as their brain is damaged. The advice is not to confront them as this can simply escalate the situation. Instead we should try to change the subject and stop the comments that way. Organisations such as the Alzheimer's Society produce cards which family can discretely give out that explain that the person has a medical condition that may cause them to say inappropriate remarks (I can't remember the exact wording).

So the new advice is to confront a person (who's already confused by the world) and expect them to believe that the man in front of them is actually a woman. Good luck with that!

And the relatives, who are essential at an appointment to both give and receive information, can't say something like "yes yes, dear, you're right but oh look at that picture on the wall." to try and calm the situation - because then they'll be asked to leave. Good luck with having a meaningful appointment without the relative there.

It's already challenging to get someone with moderate or advanced dementia to attend a hospital appointment, without having the additional worry about the medic's hurty feelings.

The use of words like violence and genocide are purposeful

If as a woman you speak publicly on behalf of women and girls you will be demonised with every single label wiped out with words that’s the reward for being agreeable and accommodating

I'm not going to say I'm 'offended' by their language use but it does irk me.

I don't know about others here, but genocide fascinates me, not necessarily the actual genocides that happen but how they come to be, the dehumanisation process. I did so much reading I had to quit a few years back. Genocide and trans should never be used in the same sentence.

I'm actually sat staring at my bookcase right now, I don't know if anyone has read, 'If this is a Woman'? Good book, long read, horrific but a good example of what women have endured. Obviously you also have The Rape of Nanking, there's another book out there that describe what German women had to go through essentially having to become breeders to further the Aryan 'race', there's 'Our Bodies Their Battlefield, self explanatory in the use of sexual violence during war, somewhere I think I still have a long report on the rates of death of female from in utero to old age due to violence and sex based preferences as well as violence committed by men plus sexual violence. I mean, violence, I've got violence aplenty right here.

I would never deny that men don't experience violence, I know full well that they do but it is usually committed by other men and it is different from the acts of violence we women face.

As for their use of the word violence, see above, but I am again literally sat here waiting for appointments to see if my ex-husband did permanent damage to my left ear when we were married, not through words although I can't deny it his words were extremely damaging, but through actual physical violence that landed me on an operating table.

And you know what? When I look at what I've been through, my experience pales in comparison to other victims experience of DA and our experiences pale in comparison to those women who have been subjected to violence when caught up in wars and sex trafficking but we know what violence is and its not be called 'he' instead of 'she'.

We aren't afforded hate crimes though, trans are. We are lucky if the crimes against us are taken seriously or even reach CPS never mind actually prosecuted.

We have less protection than trans and its fucking crazy that they don't see this.

I'm not a man hater, I actually like men, I've met some good guys and I enjoy their company. I would never have one in my space again but they're alright.

I'm obsessed with human darkness and hate. I wanted to understand certain people in my life to make sense of things.
