Another from twitter
She’s in for some Twitter cancellation later on!
Yay Annalise Dodds! Finally some sense from a politician on the "can women have a pen" question!
Your feelings don’t matter. But god forbid you hurt their feelings!!I had a big “debate” on FB about not being a subset of female. The other person started banging on about privilege and “Oooh does it hurt your feelings”. It ended with an accusation of me being transphobic…obviously.
I feel your pain. My way around it is to identify as a goddess and expect everyone to treat me accordingly. (I'll let you know how that goes ...)I'm hoping someone can follow me here:
So a transwoman is a guy in a dress.
A transwoman is a woman and apparently has a right to enter everything female.
Transwomen identify as female/women even though they are biologically male and can still have male anatomy.
Transwomen can tick the female boxes.
Well, if that's a woman/female these days..... a man in woman's clothes with male parts then I don't identify with that because my anatomy etc doesn't match that.
So what boxes do I tick on forms now because I literally cannot say that I identify as female or that I even am female when men identify as female. The word means nothing now. Does that make sense?
Can I have a new sex/gender made up for people like me with original biological components that I identify with?
I'm thinking 'swamp hag'. Sex: Swamp Hag ☆
Wait..... adults can only attend if accompanying a child?I feel your pain. My way around it is to identify as a goddess and expect everyone to treat me accordingly. (I'll let you know how that goes ...)
On a more serious note; on Saturday my local library is holding a "Drag Reading" event for children. Adults may only attend if they're accompanying children. I honestly don't know what it's for. I mean, I know what I'm TOLD it's for - to show that the library "PROUDLY supports diversity, inclusion and love." (their caps) but what's it really about?
As I've said before, I love a good drag act but I'm an adult and understand what it is. I don't understand why a man dressed up as a woman needs to read to children but apparently "they use drag performers because they can put on an act and character better than a typical book reader. Drag performers tend to have a flair and humour that is far more entertaining than I would ever be lol. The books do not show anything about anatomy. Only love, kindness and acceptance".
I live in a small, rather conservative town of just under 10,000 people. Since I've lived here I've seen no "drag performers" of any kind. Where are these "performers" coming from? So many questions, so few answers.
There's a few red flags there!I feel your pain. My way around it is to identify as a goddess and expect everyone to treat me accordingly. (I'll let you know how that goes ...)

Don’t forget to ask your cat‘s purr-nouns too, you bigot.Sounds like cat behaviour to me, how does your dog identify?
It would appear so but the library is limiting comments/questions on Facebook and by telephone so it's difficult to be sure. However, you DO need a library card ...Wait..... adults can only attend if accompanying a child?
So that means children can go adult free?
The question is, can the cat complain about the dog using its litter tray or would that make the cat a bigot?Don’t forget to ask your cat‘s purr-nouns too, you bigot.
The irony of this (for me) is that I used to make my living that way and considered volunteering to read at the library to adults and/or children. I won't bother now; I'd be too tame. Even with my "danger hair"!There's a few red flags there!
To start with who has decided that drag performers are better readers to children than say a trained actor ? (or anyone else for that matter)
That's a very suspect statement with nothing to back it up.
I like (not really) "how her gender changes"! Her gender doesn't change. Only her clothes change. I often change outfits three times a day - one for sitting around pounding on my laptop, going out shopping, walking the dogs ... I had no idea I was changing genders every time! I'm learning so much about myself from this forum. I have danger hair AND I'm gender fluid!
Genderfluid.....
So..... ummmm, this morning I looked like a grumpy bear in my sleepy joggers and some grungy top, then I was dressed like an over tired male teenage slob (my go to, 42 year old female, never gonna change), then I changed into feminine jeans and a vest top (that admittedly says 'I hate you' but it's got a cute cat saying it), might work out which means changing into girly workout gear.....
Does that make me gender fluid? Or does it just make me your average (tomboy) woman who wears whatever the duck is appropriate dependent on what I'm doing, where I'm going or how I'm feeling?
That’s not genderfluid. That’s self-obsession on steroids.

How are we meant to take this seriously? Do her pronouns change every time or is she a they all the time or what? It's so stupid. That’s not genderfluid. That’s self-obsession on steroids.
That’s what I said ! Apparently I’m not a repressed minority in grave danger of being assaulted and murdered on a daily basis.Your feelings don’t matter. But god forbid you hurt their feelings!!
Hold the front page, changing clothes makes you change gender??? Does that mean I can't say "you scrub up well" at a posh event when someone who normally wears comfy and practical clothes makes an effort for a wedding?I like (not really) "how her gender changes"! The North Fake more like
This is not going to sell well to their target audience. It's nothing like their usual clothes.
I am not too fussed about this. The bloke states they are a drag queen and gay. It's not a good look IMO but they are not trying to bull tit that they are a woman.
