I feel the exact same. I think she's fantastic at opening up conversations and creating a space for women to speak but I watched today's event and I didn't like those comments at the end either. Plenty of gay men are supporting this movement. I didn't like her comment on the 'lgbt community' It's only the T part that I'm concerned about. What about the lesbians that spoke so well today? Lesbians are the biggest losers from trans ideology.
this. Im defiantly in the GB, Prf. Stock / JK rowling camp. PP is a bit too socially conservative for me. I don't care who people sleep with and support their rights to form legal family units, adopt/raise kids (anti surrogacy however). I feel as though lesbians in particular, and tomboys (who may be les or straight!) are being erased by TRA ideology. Im anti kids being sterilised etc,

My view is the TQIA+++++ lot are making the LGBs look bad and turning LGBT into a movement to having public degeneracy and kink (i.e. drag kids etc, the new vibe of Pride). basically making people like PP think they're all degenerate fetishists instead of adults who love each other wanting to be together romantically and form a family unit.

Double post - sorry -

Slight me-rail (TW- miscarriage/fertility/female biology!) **SPOILER**

Following on from an earlier post; this week - just before my birthday- I had a suspected v. late period or v. early miscarriage. I'll never be sure which as I had a mix of faint positive and negative pregnancy tests :(.

The TiMs who cosplay pregnancy, menstruation, and try and co-op female fertility struggles into their weird fetish can duck RIGHT OFF. I think this TTC stuff has peaked me more with this fantasist/fetishist tit.

Aww that’s crap. And yes they can gtfo with that.

I agree with everything else. Also while I might not agree with everything KJK thinks or says, let women speak is an important way for women from all backgrounds to talk in public about this, I don’t believe she discriminates in that way, and she is a very brave woman to face down the violent raving loons.

Ideological purity rather than collaboration and debate is also devisive, and as we see in the TRA camp, it is an ever decreasing purity spiral and eventually eats itself.

Nobody is perfect so why knock Kellie Jay for not being a Saint?

I think she's incredibly courageous and deserves a huge amount of praise for organising events where she let's any woman (who wants to) speak. She doesn't attempt to censor any woman who speaks and she doesn't side with any political party. She stands on one issue only - women's rights.

People keep lining up to discredit her and paint her as 'right wing' because that's the ultimate insult these days 🙄 it's disconcerting when so many women fall for this tit.
If she follows people like Jordan Peterson and Matt Walsh, I would hazard a guess that she is right wing (which personally I am not for or against). Just because she speaks out on trans issues, which I applaud her for, doesn’t mean women should keep quiet about airing their problems with her, whatever they may be.
After all, this is a website forum and a discussion thread. No one here is knocking her ‘for not being a Saint’, we are raising some real issues we feel she has. Which is the whole purpose of this thread - to discuss things about gender.

Is Jordan Peterson right wing? Yes he’s conservative but right wing, I don’t know. His 12 rules book isn’t. I was put off him at first because I kept reading this right wing narrative about him but then curiosity got the better of me and I read his book and watched some YouTube videos. I find him to be very articulate and I like that he’s quite calm and collected when speaking. I’m just not so sure that he can be described as right wing. The problem is today if you say something remotely sensible you get some blue haired nut job paint you as a right wing bigoted Nazi! (Not that I think you are btw) 😂 I just see the usual suspects foaming at the mouth over him and Elon on Twitter. The same ones who were leaving Twitter when Elon became the owner. Matt Walsh is pretty new to me. So far I’ve only watched him take on the trans debate. I agree with everything he says on that. At some point I’ll listen to his other podcast topics. I know he’s anti abortion so that’s not good at all. Other than that I don’t know much else about him.

I mean when it comes to women whose primary goal isn’t to have children by the age of 30, he’s said that ‘there is something that isn't quite right in the way they are constituted or looking at the world’. He says women ‘can’t work and have kids and be single’. He thinks the idea that women were discriminated against throughout history is an ‘appalling argument’ and that women who wear makeup in the work place but don’t wish to be sexually harassed are being ‘hypocritical’. He has worrying views about consent within sexual relationships which isn’t surprising since he’s been accused of sexual assault three times. I would say, in the scope of women, these are pretty right wing views.

My issue is that women’s rights isn’t just about trangender issues and unfortunately men like Jordan Peterson and Matt Walsh have hitched their wagon to this cause and made it seem like they care about women, which they don’t, they only care about women in their own, very small view of them.

I have never been left leaning, always more centre. Now I'm more centre right. When it comes to gender the likes of Matt Walsh and Jordan Peterson are brilliant. I like how calm Matt is about the subject, he let's people dig themselves their own hole. The one thing I dislike about Matt Walsh is he is anti abortion. However I feel like as I've gotten older I realized it's okay to agree with people on one subject and not another. Heck, even Ben Shapiro sometimes says stuff about gender that I agree with. When it comes to women, I like Megan Kelly. She's a bit more conservative too. As someone said above, if you don't agree with the woke about everything then you are called right wing. Sometimes I will see someone be called right wing and I google them to see what they're actually like. I mean, they even call Rowling a terf and right wing for goodness sake.

Throwing around right wing is just a way to shut the conversation down and stop people from actually engaging in sensible debate. Also on the abortion issue, we can't sit here bemoaning the lack of Men standing for Women and wanting them to get involved but then when Men are anti abortion turnaround and say it's none of their business, it's a Womans issue. Individuals are entitled to their view. The US away from the coastline is incredibly conservative and very poor away from the cities, even Vermont up in the Northeast corner, somewhere I expected to be reasonably affluent, is poor. There's not much to do in the middle of nowhere and so, like the UK until after the war, most leisure activity revolves around the Church.

Jordan Peterson has similar views on women's rights and what a woman is. Does that mean the KJ must agree with everything he says and does? Of course it doesn't.

When Kellie Jay went to America only the conservative media would talk to her or give her airtime, CNN refused her. So again I'm saying don't fall for the rhetoric of her being some extreme right winger. She said at one of the first meetings I went to that she used to be a Labour voter.

Not everyone who agrees with us on gender would be what we would normally consider to be pro women's rights. Especially in America. They're often really religious and have a very traditional view of the role of men and women in society. I think Jordan Peterson and Matt Walsh are really articulate on this topic but there's loads I don't agree with them on.

I imagine there are many Muslim women that would be very much aligned with GC views regarding single sex spaces and yet have very different views on me to abortion (and lots of other things!). I would still like them in this fight and their voices amplified.
I’m sure I don’t agree with KJK on everything but the criticisms from yesterday seem a bit unfounded imo. She was clumsy in what she said but I took it to mean they weren’t real LGB community but just men in frocks e.g. they’re not lesbians and gay men but a load of kids in masks and AGPs. As for the “doesn’t even look gay” silly thing to say but I’ve heard a few speakers come to the mic at LWS events and say “I’m X, I’m a les..in case you couldn’t already tell!” as a joke. I’m not saying it’s the same (or ok) for KJK to make the assessment but again I think it was a clumsy way of saying that the crowd on the other side are made up of misogynistic, opportunist little pricks that like shouting at women and having pretend fights with “Nazis” because they’re self righteous narcissists. They are not supporting LGB people or giving them a voice in the way that she is.

I do get where you’re coming from. I don’t like some of the views supporters of women’s rights have but I have realised, as I’ve matured, it’s ok for others to have other opinions, thoughts and ideas and I can let them go over my head. Providing they’re not to extreme. I like the fact they can debate in a calm manner. They (Peterson and Walsh) never resort to violence and insults. So even if I don’t always agree, I can respect their right to say it. I do get what you’re saying though.

From twitter
Like most institutions now captured by gender ideology, Planned Parenthood used to do a lot of good work. Since the Tumblr CEO got onboard as a director they've just gone to tit. This whole no questions asked for hormones is terrible.

I read a post online that said that:

"The majority of adult trans identifying men are actually incels so desperate for sex that the only way they can get a woman is to try to become one themselves. They do plastic surgery or take estrogen to try to grow breasts so they can satisfy their sexual urges on their own body , like a sex doll, pretending their own body is a woman’s. Over twice as many trans identified men in prison, compared to their male peers, are there for sexual assault of children and women. And they want us to call these people “she” and mindlessly agree that “trans women are women."

I hadn't really considered this too much except for feeling that it's generally a fetish. So does this account for all those angry TRAs who are so desperate to silence women?
No, I don't think so - That is just pure seething misogyny

Left wing and right wing have become more or less meaningless recently. As the tendency, even on this thread, is to immediately jump to calling everything”far“ left or right. I’ve always considered left leaning people to be in favour of egalitarian policies aimed at the redistribution of wealth and the public ownership of businesses, whereas right learners favour a more individualistic approach based on maximising what your skills can earn you, with private ownership the preferred model..Not particularly extremist either way and more of a difference in philosophy than anything.

What I’ve noticed about the trans movement, and other similar movements such as BLM, is if you look into the background of the movements there are often far left figures lurking. The “intellectual leadership” is usually provided by US Liberal college professors who specialise in things like critical race theory, and the footsoldiers are often their students. The phrase cancel culture stems from US colleges where booked conservative speakers were literally cancelled at short notice due to fears of violence, and indeed vice versa. Something which I simply don’t get because surely knowledge is best accumulated through the hearing of all viewpoints? Social media has then given these people an effective voice. The lunatics who used to write mouth foaming letters to newspapers are now posting on instatwit or whatever. Hence the debate is skewed more towards the extremes. When someone says Marxism, or Communism, it brings up images of the Soviet Union. Any attempt to introduce an extremist state has quickly degenerated into a nightmare of gulags, repression, and reeducation camps. But if you repackage those beliefs as “Be kind” or “anti racism”, or “smash the patriarchy” then you get your next generation of proletarian vanguard, or Maoist Cultural revolutionaries. Which will lead us to a place that is not good.

To quote Voltaire, to this day the most astute observer of propaganda I’ve ever read. “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities”. And what is more absurd than the belief that a man in a dress is a woman?

Dangerous times at the moment.

Good, he should never have been placed there in the first place. His kink is the assault and grape of women ffs
