Went to the chemist earlier and colour me shocked when I saw the young gay man who works there is taking baby steps to trannism. Hair in a scrunchie, a skirt and a touch of make up. Name changed. But the odd thing is he features huge hands and plates, broad very masculine and looks so ridiculous because he is no ladyboy. Despite this drawing attention he is shy very soft spoken and there is a vulnerability so visible I feel sad for him. My bf was with me and I said "did you clock the tra**" he said yes what a state he looks like a bloke what is his game etc he was really outraged.
If the actors have any sense they'll stay off social media to avoid the inevitable bullying and trolling. Just being in the show will trigger the permanently offended whatever they say and we really don't need another round of mats saying 'trans women are women' and decrying JK.
Frankly if I was JK I'd have it written into their contracts that they couldn't ag her off in the media if they want to keep their jobs, but she's probably too noble to do that.
I think actors will be queuing up to work on that show plus all the background people. JKR will have last word on casting so I think we can safely say Eddie Izzard won't be stealing a woman's role!

Definitely. I don't want to hear their political opinions or their views on climate change etc. They all spout the same old tit and some really show themselves up with their lack of understanding for the general population because they live in a different world to ordinary people.

Celebrities used to give occasional interviews about their new film or book, then tell an amusing anecdote at most. They didn't preach to everyone.
Many women in the world don't have enough money to buy pads and tampons, and in some areas they're in short supply even if you have the funds, but sure, have men stick them in places they certainly don't belong.

Not just sickened by the utter grossness of this person but as you mentioned, period poverty is a reality for millions of young girls and women. I've done feminine hygiene collections for homeless women in my city, would it occur to this man to donate a few packets of tampons to those less fortunate?
