The JK Rowling hate is the most distressing thing.

She doesn't even want people to stop being trans, to not be true to who they are, etc. She just wants biology to be respected as a safety measure. The hate she gets in return is worse than anything I've ever seen in terms of an individual being a victim of targeted bullying but she is so strong in the face of it. I actually keep meaning to write her a letter of support as I hear she reads them all.
Same with Graham Linehan. He gets so much vile tit thrown at him. It disgusts me. All of them hiding behind Avatars.

Yeah people talk about him like he’s some sort of nazi when in reality, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him say something which I’d consider being even mildly controversial lol

I don't like Lineham. Something doesn't sit right. To me, his male entitlement still demands that he be heard over women (Especially Helen Staniland on the Mess We're In), his thoughts on women's rights are more important than hers. I just can't warm to him because of it. I do believe he means well, but he is really no better than your average mansplainer.

It's anyone that doesn't agree with the discourse. You have to agree with literally every word these people say or your life can be ruined. It's beyond my understanding but here we are.

I sent an email and got a reply from her assistant thanking for the support. I read she often reads her emails too.
I emailed her too and got a lovely reply from her team. I just wrote to thank her for using her position and voice to speak up on behalf of women who couldn't as they are fearful of being targeted and losing their jobs, what has the world come to when you cannot say something as simple and true as "I am concerned for my safety and this could impact my safety" without being called a hateful bigot.

I had this discussion with a family member about how things are going here in Ireland with self-i.d and all the potential harm it could cause, he replied that he could understand how I felt but people would think I was a hateful bigot that hated trans people, I told him he was clearly not hearing what I was saying if that's what he thought, I told him about the 3 TIM housed in the women's prison in Limerick (all convicted for sexually and physically assaulting women and children) about being able to go into any local government building and completing a form to now become your new gender, no questions asked, no medical intervention, no cross sex hormones, no surgery, no counseling needed, I asked him about the fact that a man could have convictions for sexually abusing children, transition in prison and be released with a new gender, new name and new identity and could pass a background check with these new details to go and volunteer with children, again no questions asked, he had no answers for any of it, just well you might "sound" hateful. I am perfectly happy "sounding" hateful if it wakes people up to what is happening, and I am so glad we have someone like JK Rowling to amplify our voices when she could just be silent for her own convenience.

Ive seen Graham Linehan standing in the crowd at the Hyde Park events a few times but he never speaks. So he seems to be polite enough to leave it to the women.

I think JK is absolutely magnificent.

Graham seems to have lost the plot a bit for a while and it was a factor is his divorce. I do sympathise as sometimes you feel like your shouting into an abyss with all of this and it's easy to struggle to stay calm.

Many women in the world don't have enough money to buy pads and tampons, and in some areas they're in short supply even if you have the funds, but sure, have men stick them in places they certainly don't belong.
Please stop the world, I want to get off.

For ducks sake. bleep.
Women need those as essential supplies , as you say , and he's buying them for a purpose they aren't designed for.

The thing is you can never give this movement an inch or they'll take a mile - as we are seeing. We can't allow men to dress up as women and 'to live as a woman' without them next asking for access to women's spaces as they feel their rights and safeties are undermined.
That's right. A couple of years ago, I'd have said myself that I didn't have an issue with men "identifying" as a woman because live and let live, all that crap. But it just doesn't work like that. It's never live and let live. Ever.

"Genuine trans" people are mentioned here from time to time. I empathise with someone who feels a disconnect between their physical body and how they actually view themselves, but that has nothing to do with women and women's spaces. It is simply not our problem.

And most of us have been there. I struggle with panic disorder and anxiety and there are times when my brain just will not play ball with the rest of my body and I don't feel like I have any control over my thoughts. But that's my issue to solve. I can't expect everyone else to adapt around me.

I have felt similar lately. I appreciate someone with a platform speaking up, especially someone male, but is genuine concern for women's rights at the heart of it? I don't know.

That’s exactly how I feel. These people deserve proper genuine help for their problems and they shouldn’t have to feel shunned from society, but the answer is not to just shove them into women’s spaces and tell anyone who even questions it that they’re an evil transphobe who needs to just shut their mouth.

I agree about Linehan. Appreciative of the solidarity but I'm not clear why it's become the central focus of his (online, at least) life as someone who doesn't actually have a horse in the race. I do think he means well, though.

The tampon guy - I mean, crack on, shove a highly absorbent material up your a if you want. Enjoy the constipation and the piles that will ensue. The fact of the matter remains that women don't shove tampons up their arses - that's a preserve of only deranged men in mini skirts.

On the subject of the TIMs obsession with sanitary products, I saw on Twitter that they're raiding sanitary waste bins in public toilets. Every time you think the bar couldn't get any lower...

If that plonker wants to shove something...up, why doesn't he frequent an 'adult shop' for some of their goodies? Creep. We don't use tampons for ~fun~, you disturbing sod, we use them out of necessity.
The fact men are raiding sanitary bins...ew. I do not and will never give my consent for my DNA to be hijacked thusly.

Looking forward to locked bins in toilets that you can only put stuff in but is impossible to get back out.

Oh dear god the thought of just the smell makes me want to vomit.

Anyone doing this has a serious mental health issue that cannot be a fetish can it?
