I actually wasn’t aware that Fiona Bruce was so captured. That’s massively disappointing. She’s supposed to be impartial is she not? They never are though. How anyone, much less a woman, could defend IW is beyond me. Him and his fake cervix is so open with his absolute hatred for ‘cis’ women.

Apologies for the use of the words cervix and open there, just realised how it sounds 😂

This is sad to hear. I have nothing but disdain for AGP males but will always feel for women who choose to identify as male. I would honestly say 90% of them have been indoctrinated. I've mentioned here before I have dated a couple of trans men, all of whom were deeply unhappy in a female body but that was also a result of various degrees of trauma. It always felt like they were trying to opt out of being female. They tried their best to live as male but as you say, they've very clearly been socialised as female.
Yeah and while I don’t support TiMs, I do still support females who choose to identify as men, because at the end of the day they’re still females.

This is my oldest kid :/ I'm going to use male because despite my feelings about everything I do feel a sense of loyalty to respect it.
There is just nothing about him that would even make anyone think he's male. He wears clothes and jewellery that are feminine. But saying he's trans gives him that typical genz Internet high and I suspect makes it easy to be without the pressure girls face. Doesn't matter if he's got body hair when girls are often made fun of for the same thing, because he's a boy. Doesn't matter if he's bad at makeup, etc because he doesn't need to do it at all now, because he's a boy. Despite never having any sense he was in the wrong body growing up, being very happy with typically girls things/clothes, etc, he decided at 14, he's a boy because (i suspect) being a teenage girl generally sucks.
There has to be a reason SO MANY teenage girls are suddenly deciding they're male with zero prior desire, and I think thats a big part of it.

I think that's totally fair to call your child "he", I think pressing ahead and using "she" will cause more upset and it isn't worth it. Girls choosing to identify as male is difficult and complex and I do think it needs to be treated carefully.

As I say though that certainly doesn't apply to trans identifying males who get a kick out of being called "she"!

Hopefully they will work things out as they go. Being a teenage girl is tough and I can't imagine how it is these days. The misogyny, porn, societal pressure, abuse, trauma, everything that you get lumbered with as a woman.. Well, it's no wonder that young women don't want to be female.

You’re bang on @AbnormalFrog and it is really sad. I feel like butch girls need more role models out there. It’s absolutely batshit that not liking dresses, make up and being in to football seems to be the ticklist for confirming you are not a woman. These girls need to hear the message they can like anything and dress any way they like and that’s ok because we’re allowed to! It does not mean you are male.

Someone I know has a niece who is now a nephew. Went abroad for mastectomy and hysterectomy and they botched it badly. Now back in the UK and absolutely miserable and needing the NHS to try and fix what they did. This was a girl who by all accounts loved football as a kid and was embarrassed about being a lesbian. So they transed and everyone in their family were on board apart from the person I know who is really upset for their ‘nephew’ as they have been left in a total mess. Also, infertile at age 20 😞

I sincerely hope they grow a bit older, come to terms with themselves, and quietly accept who they are without medical intervention and drastic irreversible results. Puberty sucks, being a teenager sucks I probably would have wanted to identify out of it too. But I grew up and it was ok.

What programme is Fiona Bruce said to be biased in?

I've never seen her be biased on Question Time - she just acts as a moderator - making sure people get their say, keeping to timing and making sure people don't veer too far off topic. I've even heard her say things like "no one is interested in my opinion" if a guest asks her a direct question.

Sometimes she has to interrupt to keep the BBC out of legal hot water. For example, when one of the panellists makes a comment about someone who's not there, she might said: "I do have to tell you that X said Y". That's not her view, but it's usually to stop the person being talked about suing the programme.

It's a tough job, I wouldn't want it!

I'm guessing your daughter is autistic, been in some online communities who told her she must be a boy because she hates puberty.
Also I want to say, please don't have shame in calling her a girl or she/her. I understand it may feel "loyal" to use the boy pronouns and names, but trust me: this is not what your girl wants deep down. She may deny it, because she feels she has to...but it's what the evil trans lobby filled her head with. If you call her "him", you are letting the paedophile trannies who groomed her win. Don't do that.

I really feel for you, navigating what must be a really difficult situation. I was a "tomboy" and really believe that if I were a teen today, I'd be pushed into the current gender ideology. I just remember thinking that boys had it easy, wearing joggies and playing football and having no caring responsibilities and no expectation that they must be "nice girls" at every living moment. Despite being androgynous enough for wee old ladies to call me "son," I was still frequently propositioned by adult men from the age of about 12 onwards. Plus, female sexual pleasure was never discussed, and even girls getting "fingered" was purely for the benefit of the boy who got to boast about having done it. It's so easy for me to see why young women would want to shun all aspects of femininity. I know a 17-year-old girl and it seems to me that "trans" is principally a form of rebellion for young women. This girl was citing her pronouns as "he/him/they" but made no difference to her appearance, behaviour, etc, still dressing like you'd expect a teenage girl to - I'm even cautious of typing that bc what does a teenage girl dress like? But I think folk here will know what I mean. Loads of her classmates are changing pronouns like the wind. One of her male friends looks to be going the full TIM, and he looks like one of these adult baby types with his hair in bunches and the little babydoll pink dresses and big goth stomper boots, all hyper-sexualised and very influenced by anime. There definitely appears to be different motivators for girls vs boys.

The problem is if AbnormalFrog suddenly starts using she/her, it's only likely to cause more upset at least in the short term. I understand the point you're making, but I honestly don't think it's wise.

There are ways and means to help her daughter come around, but a gentle approach is more likely to achieve that. I think abruptly switching to female pronouns could have the opposite effect.

I see that that madman India Willoughby is on Question Time tonight. Hopefully he'll peak a few people...
Hopefully.
I attempted to watch Celebrity Big Brother the year he happened to be on it. Had to give up.

If I heard one more time 'I am a REAL woman' from him, I would probably have smashed my tv. 😡

Personal anecdotes- the teen girls I know of wanting to be trans are on the autistic spectrum, self harmers and a whole lot of issues.

The teen boys wanting to be trans are gay (and oddly the boyfriends they have are the dare I say less attractive outsiders).

I sympathise with both situations because they feel excluded from typical society and oddly being the opposite sex gives them some respect, acceptance and some level of control.

I don't have an ounce of sympathy for those vile and violent men using trans to make their lives easier and getting sympathy.

I don't have sympathy for those dirty old men who just like to dress in women's/girls clothes especially in public pushing boundaries for their fetish and play trans card to get away with it.

Nor autistic but it has definitely stemmed from being online...and I wish I could just use she/her again because it feels a little silly not to, but it's more complicated than that...he was thrown out his other parent's home, not because of this but it played a small role...its a delicate situation and we've dealt with a lot of upset and mental health issues. As much as I don't agree this is genuine, he's finally in a more stable place in life in general, and I don't want to rock any boats.

I will say its tough parenting this generation, there are 100% kids doing this without it being genuine and I think there are reasons why the majority at a young age are people born female and there are (I believe more nefarious) reasons why the majority at an older age are people born male.

And it's a tough minefield to navigate when the blinkers are pulled off!
