I'm pretty sure people with CAIS can still compete in the female class at all distances as they derive no benefit from the testosterone at all and I'm onboard with that. Any DSD athlete that has the benefit of utilised testosterone above what is considered normal for a woman should not be in the Female category.
No, CAIS are still male and may still have male features that benefit them athletically. It's not just about hormones, there is also skeletal structure, blood cells, heart and lung size. There is no guarantee that every single physical feature of sufferers of CAIS (besides the reproductive system) appears female. We have to draw a strict line because genetic males with DSDs have done nothing but take advantage for decades.

There are cases of males with CAIS completing at a high level in women's sport, which says it all in itself. Elite athletes are rare and exceptional, and CAIS is extremely rare (between 1/20,400 to 1/99,000 male births). The chances of someone just happening to be both immensely athletically talented and incidentally having CAIS ought to be astronomically rare to the point it's non-existent, unless their CAIS is benefitting them in some way.

I wonder if many Muslim families are aware of this yet, I would have thought Muslim parents' views are taken seriously at the moment, remember the teacher that got hounded out for showing an image of a religious icon? They were vocal outside the schoolgates then ... Why aren't they vocal on this issue?
I think they just see it as white liberal infighting and don't really know much about it. They probably just think TIMs are all super-gays and not of concern to their daughters.

If anybody else knows who Molly Wizenberg is (I mentioned her in a previous thread here: https://tattle.life/threads/gender-discussion-6.16854/page-34#post-4399644 ), well, she sent out this message on her substack today.

So her partner, Ash J. Choi (who is a woman who uses they/them pronouns) “has wanted to be a biological parent for as long as they can remember”, but despite that, had [crowd-funded] “gender confirming top surgery”, (i.e. a double mastectomy) a few years ago. Make it make sense. This baby will be born to a mutilated mother, sorry, “birthing parent” who- despite choosing to get pregnant- denies that she’s a woman.

How are people applauding this?

Has anyone seen Owen Jones tying himself into ridiculous knots on Twitter about Monkeypox? He put out a tweet saying that Monkeypox is disproportionately affecting men who have sex with men (so far, nothing inaccurate, although it should be pointed out he went into an absolute raging meltdown when the LGB Alliance tweeted the same point several months earlier). But then someone asked about trans men, to which he said of course trans men are included in this. People rightly then said “so…women who have sex with men as well then?” “NO, NO, NO, that’s RIDICULOUS, and how very, very HOMOPHOBIC”.

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!

As a side note: Really hoping it’s good news for Allison in two hours time 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

The female only taxi company sounds great. I would actually pay more for any service if it meant a woman coming to my house, or sorting my car and not rinsing me.

I was watching a training vid on working with adults with past trauma, and one of the most important things services can do is offer choice. The example was an old lady whose husband had emotionally abused her over the years. Her usual career couldn’t come over so she was offered someone else. Cue the service asking if she would like a FEMALE carer. Imagine showing a training vid where she says ‘I would like a woman please’ and a trans male comes along in a dress. Sadly, I’m sure this happens.

There is a trans male doctor at my surgery, I have never seen them but I would no doubt be accused of transphobia if I said I wasn’t comfortable with them doing anything intimate, even with a chaperone. Imagine a scared, elderly woman having that experience 😢

That was the blind date comic I was thinking of, yes! It's been around for a long time, before that Reddit post

The person I was thinking of was called violetdioxazine and drew some great GC comics, this is one of my favourites. Although over on the TRA side you have horrors like the "gold star gay man" and sea cucumber TIM ...

I am happy to see the protest because why do we need a drag queen to read stories.
Also interesting that whilst Nottingham Council where quick to close down a Julie Bindel talk you can guarantee that councils will bend over backwards for the drag act along with police being there.
Good, drag is adult entertainment, why on earth would you want your kids involved?! You’d not want a stripper or a burlesque dancer reading to your kids because it’s inappropriate so why a drag queen 😂?
