I went to GBK for lunch today

In the ladies toilets there were posters for their campaign for testicular cancer and checking yourself.

Now if it was a general campaign to raise awareness I wouldn't be that bothered but I think because it was about self checking and in the ladies loos it just feels wrong.

They have partnered with a testicular cancer charity for fathers day. So it is a seasonal thing, but it wasn't posters about checking your partner or similar. It was self checking. Made me uncomfortable

Also, I have never seen anything about checking a female partner (unless I have missed it) Why should we have to check men but also check ourselves?

Can’t help but agree with this, also I also think @smellyfootballboots is right in saying this isn’t going anywhere, so we might as well create some accommodations.

The problem is, they don’t want “open” sports categories and they don’t want gender neutral toilets and changing rooms if female only spaces remain too. This is the problem we keep coming back to every time. And I don’t know what the solution is - I don’t think there is one. There’s no happy medium. No opportunity for a reasonable debate.

I mean look at the furore around Helen Joyce’s comments that’s still circulating on Twitter. Someone has transcribed it and highlighted what they see to be the most objectionable parts. I keep seeing it shared over and over.

We read that and think she has a point. They read it and start screaming about genocide. If that is a call for genocide, then phrases like “We need to reduce the numbers of children living in poverty” means “we need to systematically cull children living in poverty”.

We simply can’t compromise or come to a mutually satisfying agreement with TRAs, because they won’t allow it.

Joyce is absolutely right. We need to bring checks back in, we need to be able to make sure someone is genuinely suffering and not just a larper. We need to save this generation of children. It is too late for thousands already. I'm old enough to vaguely remember the thalidomide law suit, it was a massive medical scandal (quite rightly so) and there was only around 2000 of them. Hopefully this will be bigger and they will finally put in some very firm regulations.

Time for governments to ask simple questions:
1. Can you change sex? Answer: No.
2. Why should women be forced to accepted males in their single sex spaces? Answer: They shouldn't.
3. What do we do about all the Self ID trans identified males? Answer: Repeal the GRA, Annex B, Recall all GRC's and reinstate sex and add a gender option for those who want it.

A GRC application is £5, cheaper and easier than applying for a blue badge.

I mean, if they were that worried about being beaten by men, they probably wouldn't have signed up for an event that explicitly advertised itself as having inclusive, gender-neutral categories?

There are plenty of important issues with regards gender identity, but frothing about the cycling equivalent of a fun run is a waste of time.

There were 14 participants in the race. The only reason this has made the national news is for clickbait.

There was not gender neutral categories
There was men
There was women along with men pretending to be woman categories

The two men who came first each got a few hundred pound in prizes plus cash prizes of £100 and £80 respectively

The woman who finished 3rd got less prizes and £50

Do you mean in the Mens or Womens toilets ? As far as I can see this trans propaganda is only inflicted on women - bleeders, cis, chest feeding etc.

I recently read that Francine Pascal (yes the author of Sweet Valley High) owns the rights to her late brother's (Michael Stewart) theatrical back catalogue, he wrote several famous musicals and plays including Bye Bye Birdie, Mack and Mabel and Hello Dolly. Apart from one exception she made for a close friend, she doesn't grant the rights to Hello Dolly - amateur or professional - if a man would be playing Dolly. One of us?

I saw an article on FB (but the times so haven’t screenshot yet) about how the NHS has rid ‘woman’ in sexed health pages- a move that’s been criticised. I had a quick search and have come to the conclusion that I am an ‘anyone with ovaries’! See the difference between testicular and prostrate cancer pages (a male cancer affecting men) and ovarian and cervical:

I left a comment on the DM article that the same hasn't happened to the NHS pages on prostate, testicular and penile cancers and it hasn't been published. Guess that was moderated as offensive

Is it
A: because actual trans females are offended by being called women? But still must know they are and will suffer female health issues?
B: Trans males don’t want to be reminded they are not women so won’t suffer from these?
C: organisations ASSUMING one or both of these?

I would be happy right now for it to either say female or male cancers, I’ve given up with hoping ‘woman’ will ever be typed again on an NHS page. But the very fact it says MEN but no women is just batshit. I just called my bf raging and he said, I am annoyed but don’t really get as mad as you about things. I said, well there’s your definition of privilege, and you should be raging on behalf of your daughter, if no one else. Does anyone else feel like there is just no point trying to have these conversations with men sometimes as they are so unaffected by it.

I think it is all because of TRA, who are predominately men - TIM's.

Most men don't give a tit about trans rights erasing Women's rights because it doesn't affect them (I take your point about men defending Women's rights on behalf of their daughters/sisters/mothers but most men still don't give a tit)

At this rate we will end up happy to be just described as a ‘someone with ovaries’ if it is the one thing we get left Woman gone, female going, biology being hijacked. As Ricky Gervais said, the worst thing you can say today is ‘women don’t have penises.’ You wouldn’t have found that tweeted ten years ago because we didn’t think we would bleeping have to! I have some theories but they’re quite dark and dystopian. Briefly, I envision biological women becoming a sort of silent underclass with no language to express femaleness. Women will be imprisoned for speaking out, and will be subjected to abuse in prisons from trans-identifying male criminals. In other words, a bleak picture.

I hope I’m wrong.
