Good riddance. A Stonewall influence free world can't come quick enough!

I kind of agree with you but as people in the UK are waking up (and they are) the government needs to make 3 moves to completely win the election in a landslide and I think they are listening..I hate to be pessimistic but I don’t think times are changing. I think things have gone too far to be reversed. Too many people genuinely believe that questioning trans men in sports is the new racism.
Look at the Saccone Jolys kid. In my opinion that young child has no clue what is going on & while Daddy dearest is selling his son’s “trans journey” no one has stepped into stop him. Because being trans is unquestionably brave apparently.
It’s great Paula Radcliffe has spoken out but it doesn’t seem like enough.
But it needs to be diagnosed by a doctor and they should still use the men'sCalling people who actually seek medical transition 'trans' along with people who 'self ID' or those who make no effort to medically transition themselves is an absolute nonsense, and I am actually sympathetic to those who hate their bodies so much that they do seek medical transition. I am not sympathetic in any form to those who 'self ID' and they're the ones that I don't trust. If anyone is denigrating trans rights for genuine trans people it's those who self ID and think that they should be treated the same as people who have sought surgery etc. If you have gender dysphoria you'd want to transition, I do think it's that simple tbh, and we need to stop treating these things as being the same when they plainly aren't.
I worry where all this is going. I never want my daughter to be in a changing room with someone with a pen. End of. It’s grossly unfair of anyone to expect it.
As far as I’m concerned anyone can identify as anything they want but when it’s starts to impact other people there should be debate & boundaries.
I accept that trans women are likely to abused in men’s changing rooms but the solution is not to allow them access to women’s changing rooms. Why do we have to undermine the rights of the majority for a minority.
Women’s right matter. Women have periods, women get pregnant. I’m personally have no issue with saying “women and trans men get pregnant”. But I hate “pregnant people”, it reduces women to a bodily function. Enough, women have had to fight long & hard for rights.
Why aren’t the trans lobby fighting for their own space, why are they aggressively elbowing into ours.
What does “trans woman are women” actually mean? I assume the Harry Potter starts are not implying that trans women have ovaries or XX chromosomes?!
I also do not want my children taught that pick your pronoun, pick your gender is something they need to spend time thinking about. It isn’t.
I completely see your point. I don’t understand either tbh but if the language was kept to women & trans men I wouldn’t have much of an issue. I’d expect it would be very confusing for the child.I agree with this. But I still take massive issue with the whole ‘trans men can get pregnant’ thing. I just cannot understand someone who says they want to be male, but still carry a child. I just feel like that doesn’t make any sense. You either want to be male - or you don’t. And growing and birthing babies is a female thing that used to be sacred and special.
Oh I agree too - pregnant people and people with a cervix is just terrible!I completely see your point. I don’t understand either tbh but if the language was kept to women & trans men I wouldn’t have much of an issue. I’d expect it would be very confusing for the child.
But “pregnant people” angers me for some reason. I know the argument for it is inclusion but I find it demeaning, it has echos of the handmaid’s tale to me. Plus it’s dangerous. Apparently surveys have show that a lot of women don’t know the term cervix so when language on health website is changed to “people with a cervix” they are less likely to understand they need a smear test.
Yes, I used to know a les woman in the 1980s who used to send nice cards to sufferers to cheer them up and she used to go in the family planning room at the Northwick Park hospital in London to get loads of condoms & she used to hand them out to guys at a pub . She was lovely . She had a tattoo on her belly - " keep off the grass"I guess this is the logical continuation of the 'trans women threw the first brick at Stonewall' myth
Because as women this language is our reality. No one asked if we minded and clearly we do..I completely see your point. I don’t understand either tbh but if the language was kept to women & trans men I wouldn’t have much of an issue. I’d expect it would be very confusing for the child.

Aw poor lil Man has had to come off Social Media not one ounce of insight into how damaging him being allowed to compete is so unfair. I have tried emailing British Cycling but message keeps coming up saying temporary problems so hopefully they where inundated with emsils off angry Women. If he enjoys competing he get can get back with the Men!!
Did anyone see this tweet other day? Emily Bridges courting sympathy and proving her laydee credentials with a heavily made up, heavily filtered photo… when statements like this in sports are never accompanied by photos.

I think because of the Stonewall element there is a rush towards transitioning. If a man does think they were born in the wrong body why not focus on exploring why. Not in a conversion therapy way just pure conventional therapy - how has your life been, when did these thoughts start & why so you feel this way.I just can’t get behind an ideology that is based around feelings and beliefs, not when actual objective fact can prove otherwise.
I have so much sympathy for anyone struggling mentally regardless of the condition, but as far as I’m concerned a transwoman is not a woman, they are a transwoman. A biological man who either wishes to be or thinks he is a woman. If taking hormones or having surgery makes you happy, go for it, life is too short but why should everyone else indulge in your delusion?
An example I can think of to show how ridiculous this mentality is, was my grandmother believed to her dying day with dementia that my grandfather was alive even though he passed 5 months before her. We let her think he was alive because we felt it was cruel to break her heart everyday when she’d forget about him a few hours later. But we didn’t actually believe this delusion he was alive, neither did the nurses or anyone else. It was just a fact he was no longer with us. The idea that we would have had to believe he was alive because she did is just completely absurd!
Agreed. Plenty of time to let kids grow up.I think because of the Stonewall element there is a rush towards transitioning. If a man does think they were born in the wrong body why not focus on exploring why. No way little kids should be transitioning. I have a young son. I have shaped his world. I am his primary teacher, the way he speaks echoes my language etc. If I started to speak about picking pronouns and the wrong body, I’m sure he’d be interested and play along as he does with everything else. But they would not be his thoughts and ideas. So I take parents - he told me he was in the wrong body with a pinch of salt. Young children do not have the mental ability to understand a lot of what they are saying. I read recently about a 3 year old transitioning, a 3 year old!
Then take the Saccone Jolys. A father who appears to have no adult friends and who describes adult men as immature but chooses to spend all his time with children. As far as I can tell the man has coached a 7 year old boy to transition at least partly to make money.
And that this is thought by many to be progressive. That part blows my mind tbh. Just leave the kids alone.I think it's so sad that even though kids are finally free of the old gender stereotypes, and that everyone realises that it's perfectly acceptable for girls to play with cars, and that boys can love dolls, the minute that they do, someone is now screaming that they're "transgender".
