Nope, if someone misgendered me I'd be pretty amused and would suggest they booked an appointment at Specsavers...Would you actually care even if you did get misgendered? I wouldn’t. I once had a takeaway delivered and had short hair at the time and didn’t bother putting the hall light on to answer the door. The guy handed it over and said ‘there you go, mate’ and I laughed, at which point he realised I wasn’t a man and went ‘oh er, sorry love’. I shut the door and went about my evening, rather than having an existentialist crisis about what gender norms I was presenting to the physical worldOf course, I now realise I should have called the takeaway and asked them to educate their staff to do better and reported them all to Stonewall.
I never use terms like "mate" or "love" for strangers so the chances of me misgendering someone to their face is pretty small.
