I'm watching a documentary on the castrati singers (around 100,000 children were castrated in the 1800s according to estimates) - it's a BBC4 doc, available via YouTube. They're talking about how their voices differed from male and female singers, as well as the ethical ramifications of removing healthy body parts on children, leaving them with lifelong problems with bone development, sexuality and fertility. I'm wondering whether this would even be commissioned today.

The Swedish documentary into transitioning children now has English subtitles. One of the children (doesn't appear on camera for privacy) now has osteopenia after experiencing back and shoulder pain. They never had bone density checks despite four years of GnRH analogues. As predicted, the endocrinologists blame the psychiatrists, the psychiatrists blame the endocrinologists, neither claim to have knowledge of the adverse effects reported among various children (including worsening mental health, significant weight gain, possible liver damage, bone thinning after two years and stunted height.)

my best friend throughout school. Her husband of 6 years, father of their two little girls was apparently born into the wrong body. Obviously always knew this but didn’t realise until hemessed up my friend’s life got married and brought two innocent children into the world.
my friend is an absolute darling and has stuck by him throughout his transition. Funnily enough despite this yearning to be a woman, does he/she/it do anything regarded as ‘woman’ jobs around the home?! Feck if it does. My lovely friend is still the one juggling the mental load of the family doing the vast majority of housework and raising the children as well as being supportive to the wanker she married who decides to spend his free time brushing his wig and putting on perfume while prancing around in dresses organising lunch with the ladies, which ironically his wife is never invited to. Do I believe men like this really want to be a woman? No friggin way! They take the aspects of female they like and leave the real ‘womanly’ tit to the actual women because of their bleeping male privilege lets them believe they can pick and choose which part of being a woman applies to them.

no safe spaces exist for a woman anymore. They’re at breastfeeding (sorry chest feeding) support classes getting more one on one time with their dollys than a brand new struggling mother whose newborn baby is struggling to latch. But to hell if that innocent baby’s nutrition and life is more important than some grown man playing with his doll playing dress up.
grape crisis centres. They have full access as long as they identify as being a woman. They don’t even need to look the part. How bleeping intimidating that must be to a grape victim? But of course her feelings are irrelevant as long as David in his floral dungarees doesn’t feel excluded. Like hello, this is a way for attackers to further intimidate their victims if all they have to say is they feel more Christina than Chris this afternoon while following their victim into a centre. What about women escaping domestic violence seeking refuge and then their abusers being let in. Prisons… I’m sure I read an incident where a trans woman was in a female prison somewhere in the world and then went on to grape several inmates but nothing was done. Little girls going into toilets alone? Just doesn’t bare thinking about. A pen never belongs in a grape crisis centre or female toilet. Anyone who disagrees is not right in the head. Trans men and women can have their own spaces, but instead they want the female spaces.

I think because Dutch people are tall that is why no one really questioned their height - but on the topic of Nikkie - this is completely off topic. I hate their makeup tutorials. Beautiful at eyeshadow but their skin work is terrible, it is them just layering on foundation, concealer and powder too thickly and apply layers after layers. Very few beauty YouTuber who are “experts” know how to work with makeup, they only know what works on them. Several filters, lighting, filler, hundreds of euro of skincare, a perfectly symmetrical face thanks to their surgeon is why their makeup looks good.
Also, most youtuber makeup artists that I know of have makeup like a drag queen.

No one is born in the wrong body. Gender dysphoria does exist but it affects far far fewer people than claimed. It's also one of the only mental illnesses I think of where there seems to be no attempt to treat it (i.e attempt to make it go away via therapy etc.) but to offer surgery to affirm.
I’ve never heard of this before! How horrendous. I had a read on Google and listened to recordings of Alessandro Moreschi, I double checked his age at the time of recordings and he was around 58 (I think). Very creepy.
Off topic, but when I'm not working I use gycolic acid toner under my arms. The low ph kills the bacteria that cause the BO. Have also stopped using Lush which has cost me my favourite cruelty free perfume
Avon and Somerset police are horrendous, especially with women. They cover such a wide area and don’t really understand policing rural communities. They have already had to refer themselves twice to the IOPC in the matter of weeks because 3 people were murdered (a woman and her husband and another woman a few weeks prior).
Without sounding like a kill joy glycolic acid will lighten the skin and it doesn’t remove the sweat. I’ve seen it all over social media and I do worry about those with darker skin tones because the lightening effect may become quite noticeable.
Yes, Caroline Hirons has pushed glycolic acid for years without ever thinking to mention that it breaks down melanin.

I'm Celtic blue/white, so couldn't get any paler personally and use it after a shower, however I have wondered about all the active skin care products that affect pigmentation as skin care "experts" never seen to mention how they affect darker skins. Glad you mentioned it
