I passed Stonewall HQ on the bus the other day. It looks tired and scruffy with curling sugar paper cut outs of pronouns, like a school project at the end of term.

He was asking personal questions about their bodies and no one thought that was inappropriate, creepy or absolutely not what any woman would do to a colleague, or even a close friend I would never comment on their pregnancy breasts. He’s a perv and they all know it so I don’t know who levered this into the judgement, was there a man on the panel?

The Hercules Musical Greek muses are now canon as a black gospel choir because the Disney music was tailored to their incredible voices. It’s not meant to be history and neither is Six, throughout the productions the Queens have been all ethnicities (and dress sizes) so that sort of inclusion is bound to lead to the man pretending type of woman. And the writers are clearly on the weirded train train for attention as their follow up efforts are not as successful.

It’s extraordinary isn’t it? Legal feminist says they were tying themselves in pretzels to exonerate him at a personal level. In what other scenario would a man repeatedly asking women colleagues when they were getting changed not be considered sexual harassment? Trans protection strikes again.

But someone else pointed out that both the Peggie judgment and this one holding the Trusts at fault will mean they will all have to reevaluate their trans inclusion policies because they’re putting themselves at huge legal risk which I thought was a very good point. Uptonogood and Hendoperve won’t be the only two larping blokes in women’s changing rooms in the UK’s largest employer

Every one of those women was a victim of male ego - not just the King's, but those of fathers, uncles and brothers who manipulated them into Henry's bed to bolster their own power bases - and they were trapped in a male-determined gender role. They had so little autonomy - and women have fought for centuries to break those gender boundaries and have their SEX recognised as being of worth in its own right, and not just as a provider of food, sex and heirs.

Now we are in great and real danger of having everything they fought, suffered, and often died for being snatched away for us and from our daughters.

Just get men out of the picture altogether. Every TiM that gets a woman's role in a production, is a man who has stolen a role from a woman.

So it was the Darlington nurses case that finally pushed me over the edge, prompting me to snap with my uni friends. We haven’t spoken since (tbf to them I’ve blocked them all because waiting for them to reach out to me was too much, but there’s a myriad of other ways they could contact me if they really wanted to, they all know I would if our roles were reversed).

so feeling a little glum today because it’s hard not to hold out hope that in time they’d see and apologise. I’m not above apologising for my outsized strop, I understand why they’d all be hurt and reeling, but if we were all the bestest pals we’ve been pretending to be for the last 14/15 years, then they’d show some willingness to see my perspective too.

But nah, it’s easier to pathologise me and do everything they can to make it easier for pervs to access women and children.

One of the FB groups that I'm in (not a feminist group) is full of handmaidens commenting on the Darlington tribunal, with lots of posts along the lines of "I've never been hassled by a transwoman in a toilet, I don’t see what the problem is" etc, etc

Guess who is now banned from the group after commenting about the strangely large proportion of sex offenders in the male trans prison population, about how just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean that it hasn't happened to anyone else, and how just because you're a tr@nnie-lover, it doesn't give you the right to give away my rights to single-sex spaces (I think that last comment was my undoing tbf )

Why are some women like this? Would they be so accommodating to a peeping-tom neighbour if they caught him peering into their bathroom window when they were using the shower? Or to a weird old man hassling their school-age daughter at the bus stop? What about being followed home in the dark by a man? Is it ok if he's wearing a dress and a bit of lippy? They can't see how their double standards might actually affect other women, it's all about being an "ally" and pandering to the men. They make me sick, and I'm tired of keeping quiet.

Totally agree, and I can't understand it either. I do think a lot of people, both men and women think that it doesn't affect them, therefore it doesn't matter. Or they think they are being oh so cool and with it, and why shouldn't Johnny become Jane if he wants to, and oh that great phrase - BE KIND. [ throws up]

I hope some of them get a short sharp shock some day when confronted with the reality of what this dangerous ideology has caused. It makes me so angry reading that the Darlington nurses were basically given an ould crappy room, no lockers, totally unsuitable, while that creepy man was still perving in the women's changing facilities. Logic alone would say, right, there's just one man pretending to be a woman, and give him the crappy room instead.

I am DELIGHTED for them, but equally angry that they had to go through so much, because of one entitled man, who was backed up by those with the power to do something about him, instead of letting him into the women's facilities to perv at them.

I’m another that doesn’t get it either. I’ll be honest, I’ve never thought as TIM as anything other than weird men, because I believe that biology is real and over rides any delusions. Delusions are only real to the person experiencing them and it’s not my job to be dishonest and validate them. Frankly, men pretending to be women creep me out, I see it either as a mental illness or far more likely, a sexual fetish. I very rarely have to use a communal changing room and when I do, it makes me extremely uncomfortable. I just don’t like getting undressed in front of strangers. It’s bad enough in an all female environment, but the thought of having to do it in front of the likes of “Rose” or “Beth” I would find so uncomfortable I don’t think I could do it. I don’t want to be involved in any way with some creepy perverts sexual fetish. The handmaidens make me sick, maybe they really don’t care, maybe they haven’t really thought about it, but they have absolutely zero right to take my boundaries away from me.

...I just always think about the fact that women have been wearing 'mens' clothes since the end of 19th/start of 20th centuries...for mostly practical reasons plus advances of design...the early ones would've faced abuse (from men) I'm sure, but as a sex class we were able to accommodate this...so why can't men do the same?..this is what I don't get from people I know who were around in the 90's...it was the peak of 'be who you are and dress how you like'...my mate at the time never said he was a woman then but was quick to throw the 'far right' association in after I'd been to a LWS event...

Thank duck for this. Players were forced to smile and pledge support for a deranged, misogynist group actively campaigning for male players to play in the WSL. Unbelievable that it was ever allowed.
