And she's absolutely right: at this moment, the continued confusion and persecution of women for refusing to bow down this trans madness lies squarely with Starmer and Phillipson. Phillipson is singlehandedly to blame for the chaos and confusion in schools as well as she refuses to publish the Schools' Trans guidance, so children are still being socially transitioned meaning that boys are still using girls' toilets and changing rooms. It's unconscionable delaying both guidelines.

I will never forgive Labour for their role in this. Lives are being ruined whilst she sits on the guidance and argues against it it court calling it 'trans exclusive'. Her refusal to publish the guidance is why John Sweeney can stand up in Holyrood and, with no shame, say that his government is fighting to keep the right to keep men - including three murders - in women's prisons. This is being done to 'protect their human rights'.

We are continuing to live beyond the looking-glass. It's hard to believe that these things are actually happening. I genuinely am at a loss as to what is happening around the world in furtherance of this trans lunacy.

Here is my Six rant.....
It is a brilliant musical with a lot of historical accuracy. And that is why I am sad.
As well as some cracking songs it teaches you the human side of the 'divorced, beheaded, died' mantra and very much tells the story of the Queens with actually little reference to the twit they all married.
K.Aragon was married for nearly 25 years to H8. Gave birth to many children including sons, but Mary was only surviving child. She considered herself Queen until she died at age 50. Had to watch that large twit remarry time and time again whilst having to fight for her life as well as the life of the daughter she was never allowed to see.
A.Boleyn was extremely religious and basically taught that marrying royalty was the only thing important. Her parents raised their children to marry royalty like an Olympic sport. After only 3ish years was considered an inconvenience because she 'only' had a girl. Trans icon my a.
J.Seymour Good family but not the brightest. Considered a good match because H8 was more educated and therefore could outsmart her. First 2 wives were very clever, educated and experienced in life and could give as good as they got. Wife 3 was almost illiterate and very meek and mild. Married her about a week after he executed his 2nd wife and she died about a year later after giving birth.
A.Cleves My favourite wife. H8 genuinely married her because she had a beautiful portrait. She came from an excellent family both financially and politically. He was genuinely repulsed by her appearance but married her anyway. He was unable to consumate the marriage allegedly because she was so weird. More likely because he was so drunk and riddled with STDs. Annulled (so not technically divorced but that doesn't rhyme) and she actually did very well. Absolutely humiliated she had some bloody good lawyers who threatened to tell the world H8 couldn't get an erection. He paid her handsomely and she lived an incredible life
K.Howard the sadest of them all. Married about a week after 4th wife got her annulment. She was about 17. H8 was about 50. She was executed at 19, less than 2 years later. This was absolutely an abused and groomed little girl. From puberty she was passed around by 'uncles' and H8 learned of her being available. Again taught by her parents that bagging the king was the ultimate goal she flattered the large gout and ulcer ridden slob and convinced him she loved him. H8 actually managed to consumate the marriage but he was cruel and abused her. The poor wretched kid was flattered by courtiers and abused and r*ped. H8 used this as her using witchcraft against him and she was beheaded for treason. In reality she humiliated the king so she had to go. H8 was so humiliated he decided that she shouldn't ascend to heaven in the rapture. When the end of days comes you need a body to go up to heaven so he had her thrown in the ground in the church at Tower of London so her body was next to Anne Boleyn. Then he had quick lime thrown on her so it basically dissolves and there's no chance of redemption.
C.Parr H8 was her 3rd out of 4 husbands. Very clever and navigated Tudor court like a pro. A good match for H8 as she was supportive and kept her mouth shut. Is absolutely the only reason H8 three children had a relationship with each other. Made sure Mary and Elizabeth were put into the acts of succession which not only gave them a chance of succeeding the throne but no doubt kept them alive and away from the executioner block. Was actually a very good wife and was loyal. An astute politician.

SORRY FOR LENGTH!!! But I just wanted to point out how awesome these women were and how good the musical Six portrays them. It makes it all the more sad that men get the opportunity to sing about their stories and that absolute ducks get to claim these are 'trans' bleeping voices. Get in the bin.

Katherine Howard’s story enrages me. Hers is my joint favourite song in Six (the other being Anne of Cleeves’): it’s so cleverly deceptive in that on first listen you just think it’s a sparky, Britney-esque pop song, and then it becomes clear it’s all about the revolting grooming she was subjected to, excused by the perpetrators labelling her as a ‘wanton temptress’. And it chimes very much with the horrible sexualisation of Britney as a child.

My daughters have witnessed many a livid rant from me when that song comes on the playlist. However we won’t be listening to Six again anytime soon.

Fantastic rant- beautifully put. I feel so bad for throwing Anne under the bus now in my off the cuff post - she was a tremendous woman. I was making a cheap riff off the fact that she was the one that Henry famously couldn’t/wouldn‘t have sex with. She was my favourite after Catherine Parr who I always thought was great apart from her inexplicable reluctance to intervene when her last husband sexually abused young Elizabeth.

I hate musicals but reluctantly went see Six years ago with friends. It was incredible. I've seen it at least 5 times now.
During lockdown there was a video on YouTube showing every single performer who had a performance cancelled due to restrictions singing along to the soundtrack.
I counted at least 4 men. Probably more because the screens were too small for me to see.
Last time I saw it in person was in Kingston. It was quite a phenomenon by then. Little girls (and grown women) all dressed up as their favourite queen. There was also a very little boy dressed in an immaculate costume as C.Howard. The groomed and abused as a child queen. He was called Ruby. But was very obviously a boy. It was just weird and very uncomfortable. His mother tried to get staff to let him onstage after the performance and made a big scene, which is why I remember him.
I didn't realise the writers of Six were such loons. It is just so sad.

Another nurse tribunal. She called a transgender pead0 (from high security prison) Mr and when he corrected her, she said her religious beliefs meant she could not use the pronouns but could use his name. He got angry, calling her disgusting racist words.

The Guardian is like the BBC imho, in that the editorial big bods have never got over the vibe shift that started in 2016 when working class voices on both sides of the Atlantic really started to make their frustration with Current Timeline felt (however inchoately - Brexit and Trump are protest signifiers not solutions imho, but desperate people do cray things tbh). Neomarxist Progressivism staged a fightback during lockdown but overplayed its hand massively with the trans thing and the further extremes of BLM (anyone else remember when the Smithsonian Museum announced that a commitment to scientific accuracy was a marker of white supremacy and should be dismantled? Yeah tell that to a brain surgeon or an aeroplane engineer.)

Anyway the Guardian can't cope with the collapse of the Elite Progressive hegemony so it just flails around and publishes tit like this. See also: BBC and the TRA vanguard. Dying behemoths always stage a final fightback by becoming more extreme before they finally stop breathing. I love to see it!

I think this section of the article is important to highlight.

In 2023-24 there were 234 transgender inmates in the prison estate in England and Wales, the majority of whom were biologically male. More than 70 per cent are serving sentences for sex offences and violent crimes.

Thank you for this - I adore medieval history and I adore six the musical - it is such a duck you to misogyny of the time (and now) done in such a fun way but gives me goosebumps and chills each time I've seen it. I had a feeling something like this was coming when the programme read obviously if we made it now we'd make it more inclusive - THE TUDORS WEREN'T INCLUSIVE THATS THE WHOLE bleeping POINT!!!!!!! She was literally murdered for not being able to produce an heir ffs - how inclusive is that ffs!

I will stop my raging now but am so very grateful that there are now so many female historians and books and research on women from the past.

I’ve just seen an advert for a trannie event ‘Jekyll and Hyde, a trans parable.’

Thirty years ago, before the media and every organisation was ideologically captured, the New York Times reviewed a film which reimagined the Jekyll and Hyde Story (Dr Jekyll and Ms. Hyde). The main character, a descent of Jekyll, messes around with his ancestor’s scientific formulas which affects his hormone levels and turns him into ‘Helen Hyde’. The NYT gave a sensible, critical review. You just know that if the film was released now, it would be hailed as a ‘queer masterpiece’. From the review:

That gives "Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde" the pretext for dressing Mr. Daly (Jekyll) in drag, letting Ms. Young (Hyde) scare children with even creepier gender-bending than she did in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," and using inexpert special effects to make breasts suddenly grow or disappear. Four screenwriters, all specializing in rewrites, have been enlisted to cook up embarrassing settings -- in the bedroom, at a party, in the office -- where Helen or Richard is unexpectedly transformed.

Since we live in a universe of infinite possibility, assume that there are ways this could be funny. But "Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde," directed by David F. Price from his own story idea, is too intent on literal-minded crotch-groping for that.

It doesn't help that this film's ideas of gender-specific behavior are other than cutting edge. When Richard starts turning into a woman, the first things he sprouts are manicured fingernails and long hair. And once Helen appears, she tries to get ahead professionally by doling out sexual favors to a buffoon (Stephen Tobolowsky, who performed this routine well with Annette Bening in "The Grifters" and doesn't need to do it again). Then, just as she's taking off her black lingerie, she becomes Richard, and he escapes out the bathroom window wearing only black stockings. A little old lady sees Richard in black stockings and is shocked.

The film cultivates fear of bodily changes in ways that make it a metaphor for puberty, but it's not for children. Among a lively group of supporting players, only Harvey Fierstein has much luck as a gay man horrified to find himself attracted to Helen, his first woman. He's on hand to get the film's last laugh and to remind audiences why they liked "Mrs. Doubtfire" better.

How did we get from the NYT cautioning that, in their opinion, this film (rated as a PG) was not for children, to all sections of the press promoting events such a drag-queen story time to preschoolers? Not to mention the current push to affirm the notion that children can be born ‘in the wrong body’ and that if little boys like long hair and nail varnish or little girls like short hair and climbing trees, they may be ‘trans’? I swear the 90s were more enlightened than now and I’m glad I spent my late teens and early twenties in that environment.
