I'm with you on this. There's far too many entitled brats in this world and I admire her stance on discipline.

I'm all for discipline and agree with you, although I've never trapped any of my children in a room.

I think the poster that messaged her has a point and was possibly suggesting that Gemma practices cruelty free and kindness (aside from ITS and when she promoted P&G products) and that holding a door is cruel.
There are plenty of other ways of teaching your child to sleep in their own bed, even when they're having a temper.
She said she had Gorks with her so they could have taken turns getting up and down with her until she settled.

She then dug herself in deeper by saying she locked her puppies up for having an accident. Why punish them because you as a human didn't let them out in time?

I really like her, but she can sound very high and mighty at times

Agree with this, i was really impressed with her attitude and approach. Always acknowledged that others aren't as well off/as lucky as she is etc but nevertheless still just getting on with it, hardly complained, she just got on with it.

She is very self aware and respectful. Recently when she started talking about the paps been outside after Gorka came back from Strictly so many other influencers would of bad mouthed the pap for been there taking photos but Gemma was like 'its their job, i know they've got to do it and im not bashing them'.

I really like Gemma and love seeing her stories with Mia. Didn’t she have her own gym range before ITS which was pretty decent? I would have bought from that range. Then I saw she started doing ITS and I quite liked some of the swimwear but I’d never ever buy from that company. It’s a shame really it’s not as if she’s a z-lister desperately trying to be in the limelight.

Me too! And I love the stuff she does for charity. She seems like such a nice person, down to earth, it just sucks about ITS. I hope she doesn’t do any more work with them.

They seem to be focusing more on their own brand stuff and cutting down on the 'collabs' (which presumably cost them loads in influencer fees and commission). I don't think Gemma's posts for them got much engagement so I wonder if that's it...

Slightly OT, but I do think in general the days of influencers getting paid £££ for this sort of thing are nearly over

She owns two houses in Manchester and is a landlord. I think she's doing ok financially. She hammered the lads mags back in the day and they definitely paided the big money.
I feel like it was an offer on the table, money in the pocket and morals out the window. Guessing at this point it's securing Mias future. It's a very hard line to tow morals/money. She definitely could of done better with her own clothing line added to the gym wear but no doubt that's more work and precarious.

I’m 100% with Gemma on sleep. I think you have to teach children to sleep well in a way. We’ve always been very firm but kind with our kids around bedtime & where they sleep. I’ve never left my kids crying but I agree with Gemma, I know what’s fake screeching & what’s genuine upset. I think we’ve taught our kids healthy sleep habits & as such, I have two kids who 95% of the time sleep through the night in their own rooms & consequently, we get a solid 8 hours sleep and are cheerful parents! I hate sharing a bed, I can’t sleep with anyone remotely near me. Even with my husband, who I love to death, we have a super king so we are nowhere near each other for actual sleeping

I think you do you, if you enjoy sleeping with your kids then great! But it’s not for everyone. Nice to hear from someone who isn’t harping on about attachment parenting to be honest. Gemma’s parenting is refreshingly normal! Mia’s a lovely kid, she’s clearly doing something right!

Youre excused!! - it did turn into a bit of normal tattle thread due to the ITS contract. Thats why I came looking - . She has a lot of good points but To be honest she over exposes her daughter and breaches her privacy like the rest of them and uses her to sell stuff and make money but just cause she "nice" its ok. Also the dog hygiene thing! Boke. Ill see myself out with you!!!

I used to follow Gemma and liked her but this site opened my eyes and now I don’t follow anyone who shows or exploits their children. I’m not trying to be a troll and genuinely want to understand, why is it ok for Gemma to use Mia to sell things and show her face/home/bedroom/private space online to millions of possible dodgy people when the likes of Lawler, Hinch and SSS et al get absolutely slated for it? I just dont get it. Is our interest in a strangers child not odd?

I love the way she speaks to Mia, doesn’t ‘baby’ her at all and appears to installs an independent manner in her, letting her do things by herself and just generally chats to her like it’s another adult in the room. Plus Mia is a total cutie!

She doesn’t take kindly to anyone questioning her. I learned the hard way after sending her a very polite DM when she posted something I thought was ‘off-brand’. Her response was surprisingly heavy-handed to my polite & qualified comment. Needless to say I no longer follow & I’m definitely not a fan!

I think the issue is with Gemma that she does in a way portray to be socially conscious and and animal lover etc so joining with ITS doesnt fit with that. We all need money but it doesnt mean we would do something that goes against our morals. She has her finger in many pies so i doubt she’s skint.

This is it exactly...she seems such a good person who does her bit environmentally etc so to be taking money from an awful brand like ITS who churn out collection after collection of cheap and nasty fast fashion daily,the majority of which will end up in landfill, just comes across like she switches her principles on and off depending on how big the pay cheque is !

I love her! I think she has the balance with Mia right - we see a bit but she doesn’t dominate her insta like other people. I think she is a great parent with Gorka from what I see. She’s informative and it’s so refreshing not to be inundated with ads and freebies she gets

I completely agree. Gemma is the balance that these insta idiots should learn from. Also I liked the way she did the iconic makeup (that every insta hun does) but refused to put links and sent everyone to a page that would donate if they swiped up x
