So I’ve got a part garden, part cat problem & I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks that have worked. Our house was empty for 2 years before we purchased & next doors cat made itself quite at home in the front garden which is quite open (we’re a corner plot) the previous owners of our house were keen gardeners and the garden had overgrown but had lots of bushes & shrubs.
Fast forward to now, we’ve been here two years and on a daily basis I’m chasing the cat out, it digs up my boarders to use as its toilet and I’m at my wits end. The world according to Google has suggested the following & I’ve tried them all:
1. Sonar - it sat in front of the sonar unfazed
2. Citrus peels - again sat on them

3. Vinegar - I soak the garden in the stuff, doesn’t deter him at all
4. Plant lavender & sharp bushes - he them up and sprays on them
I planted yesterday my autumn/ winter pansies etc yesterday & when I’ve looked at the garden this morning - they’ve been dug up

I’m sick of wasting money trying to make my garden nice as next doors garden is fine & they get to have nice plants - cause their cats using my garden as the loo

please if anyone has any tips, suggestions or advice - I’m only short of just leaving the garden to overgrow and pretend it doesn’t exist anymore, I’m that fed up!
