Also, what is the obsession with changing tables? I never had one. Never even had a changing mat and yet G has "several around the house". Babies were all changed on my knee... and aside from the odd fountain from my boys the floors and my lap all stayed pretty clean

Yes I was wondering about this. I actually don’t think it’s an issue they have separate rooms, it wouldn’t be for me but I know people who do it and I know lots of people who wish they could do it if they had the space / nerve - they love their partner but like their own space and fair enough.
but what I’m wondering is, that room is tiny which will be fine for a few years as they’ll just play in the rest of the house and only really use the bedroom for sleeping but eventually they will want to spend more time in their room - does seem a bit unfair that they will end up in a tiny room! Unless they move by then I guess
