I find Freddy and Coco typical upper class/upper middle class names. Like in Made In Chelsea hardly anybody seems to have a normal name, or goes by a normal name.
Yeah full names

Aw I see. I don't really know that type of thing. I'm not from England, I live in Ireland. But I suppose thinking of Georgia Toffolo or however her name is spelt lol she goes by Toff but yeah I'm aware that it's an abbreviation.

I'm jumping into Freddy threads very late and have only read a few pages, but have been on and off watching Freddy for years on YouTube. Apologies if this has already been addressed thoroughly, but does anyone else think that her "room" at her parents' is really just a filming studio? I've thought that for a few years - given how old she is and how long she's been with her boyfriend. I always feel like the room looks made up for a studio (and the weird pink tiny kitchen) but she lives elsewhere. I think her audience is a lot younger so she tries to continually appeal to that demographic..
Its her actual room and she does live there. I think it was her room tour video where she mentioned that she was saving up to buy her own property in London cos the prices there are so expensive. Plus, her family doesn't mind her living there with her; in fact, they enjoy her company at home.

We're guessing that she'll be moving out sometime in 2021 so we'll be seeing a totally different background then. If she's going to be moving in with JJ, I reckon that it took them this long cos JJ has been traveling for work. Maybe she thought it was best to wait til he settles down with work first to move in together. If she really did get her own property, I'm very interested in knowing how she'll be decorating the new place.

So is Coco literally called "Coco"? I thought both names were abbreviations and they didn't want to give their real names on the Internet.
Both names are their actual names. Suits them both very well since both sound like stage names, and they're theatre kids, or at least Freddy used to be.

This is new to me, very interesting! Why is it so though?

I wasn’t sure I was on board with your guys’ theory that she was moving out of her parents house, but seeing that she got a tool kit for Christmas... I believe it now. Why else would she need one? 🤔

Tbh it wasn’t really a theory - Freddy openly said she hadn’t been planning to move out yet but something she liked within budget came up so she went to view it. Then she put a story up showing she was celebrating with champagne for something but didn’t say what. And then of course the fancy coffee table book she received for her birthday but said she wasn’t opening yet (to be opened in the flat/house I assume). So I wish one of us could’ve called it but she made it really obvious😂

Re their names I find them both really weird but Coco is the worst, again Freddy’s choice thinking it’s really classy when it’s actually just like a name you’d give to a pet dog and not a human. Quite an embarrassing choice.

I can only assume the place Freddy is moving into needs work? I am sure Freddy will not be doing any .

Random but has anyone seen her sisters what I got for Christmas...? She’s into witch craft?! I seriously hope she’s doing this stuff safely, it can have really bad consequences if messed with.

Yeah, I was taken aback by that too. I assumed she meant just silly like “Harry Potter, I can mix sparkley water with baking soda and it foams” kind of witch craft??? But maybe she’s more ~serious. Whatever that means. Like she’s what, 12? 13? Surely she knows “witch craft” isn’t real..?

So she can finally grow up and be her age for once 🙂 Or learn something new other than dressing in impractical outfits or complaining from the comfort of her bed.

Can we really expect anything else from Freddy? Maybe she's lurking on here and might do some of the work herself to prove a point to us.

Coco's 14 this year. The witch craft she's referring to is what I would deem 'modern' witchcraft, the one that's being popularized through Tik Tok. I see that more younger people are getting interested in this type of witchcraft, it honestly worries me the influence social media has on these impressionable young minds 🤔

It’s seriously worrying as she said she’s been making spells and potions... this is not something light to play around with. This is where social media becomes dangerous to young people. I honestly hope her mum or Freddy are being mindful of this and over seeing it, it is not something to be practising lightly... it can have serious bad effects...

Oh really in what way can it have bad effects? I know nothing about witch craft.

Yeah, I hope it’s nothing dangerous and it’s just make believe play. I’m not on Tik Tok and have no idea what the younger generations find cool 🤣 so no idea what she means. But hopefully all just fun and light.

While Freddy gets on my nerves sometimes with her childish ways, I don’t wish either her or her sister anything bad and hope both, whatever they’re going through with magic and or moving, it’s all for the best.

If I may be so bold as to make a New Years resolution for Freddy, it should be to embrace her age and maturity this year. She’s a beautiful young woman and shouldn’t shy away from that. Her followers will embrace the evolution IMO.

That's an interesting view since Coco is obviously associated with Coco Chanel who's pretty much the epitome of class. Not to say that the name alone would make anyone classy though.

In my country it's not really normal to live at home as long as Freddy has, especially considering she's pretty successful in terms of income. I know it's considered more normal in many countries but to me living with your parents after 25 and especially living with your parents in a pink and girly room is just... a sign of some kind of codependency issues lol.

I have very relaxed parents, but I can’t imagine living at home at that age. I’m older, but back then I used to go out a lot, have friends over and I didn’t have a steady boyfriend, so yeah. Not all things I’d want to share with my parents. And just in general, I do not like my parents knowing exactly what I’m up to.

Well that is kind of my whole point lol. She’s copied Chanel’s nickname as a real name for her sister, it’s not a classy name. In the same way that wearing shoes with huge Gs on them isn't classy, it's just shoving a brand in your face. Naming your sister after Chanel isn't classy, it's quite tacky IMO.

Same, I'm not on Tik Tok either but I do occasionally hear YouTubers talking about the Tik Tok witchcraft. Its not on the level of the Salem witches, but I don't think its make believe either.

I think Freddy's okay with her current living arrangement cos she's a homebody (doesn't have friends over at her place too), plus I'm guessing JJ is always away working anyway. I have a hunch that if she ever did decide to move out of her parents' home, she'd prefer to live with JJ. And her parents don't mind her living there too.

I mean you could save a ton of money by living at home while you save up to buy your dream property. I know lots of people who are earning enough to move out and rent someplace but they prefer living at home so they can move up their timeline of buying their own property. Provided that you can stand living at home with your parents breathing down your neck lol. In SEA, its actually pretty common to live in your parents' home even when you have a family of your own. But like you said, its different for every country. Also, I'm not sure how having a pink and girly room is related to having codependency issues 😅 I'm not white knighting Freddy but tbf, she did say that she wanted to have her room walls painted white, but since her floor was white as well, it would make the room look whitewashed. She hesitated on painting it pink cos it might look too childish for her liking at the time.

She also didn't go to university so she's not had to kind of move out of the family home, then move back, if that makes sense. Lots of people who don't go to uni don't seem to move out until a little later on. Plus, she does live in London. It's actually pretty sensible I think to live at home and save up a deposit, if your family can afford to keep you there/are happy to have you there of course. Probably one of the more sensible decisions she's made I'd say.

Ooh yes, you're totally right, that's another factor as well. I understand Freddy's choice to live at her parents'. If my parents are okay and happy with me living at home temporarily while I save up to buy my own property, I'd probably do the same too cos the money that I put into a rentals might as well be put away to buy my dream property.

Yeah agreed, the living arrangement thing is very dependant on culture and mine's more of an individualistic one. I don't mean to judge any of your personal choices regarding that. It's just the combination of a grown up woman with her own money choosing to live with mommy and daddy in a cutesy pink little room and act like a teen-aged girl wearing oh-so-cute and oh-so-short dresses and shorts... kind of gives me weird vibes.
