Obviously his longterm boyfriend didn’t know he was on the dating websites so he would have said ‘single’ or why be on dating apps? I felt sorry for his boyfriend but he didn’t appear in the documentary and was only mentioned briefly by Daniel’s stepmum when she showed a birthday card from ‘the boys’.

I don’t know which app he used but you saw him on his phone so I think he definitely met him via the dating sites.

Oh I understand - what I meant was I wasn’t sure if it was a fake profile set up by Stephen or it’d been altered in any way, I agree I feel bad for the boyfriend. I hope my comment didn’t come across as insensitive I was genuinely just not sure

Watched all of this and it was heartbreaking. One question though that confused me and I’m not sure if I missed something - how did Daniel Whitworth meet Stephen? Was it on grindr, and how did his dating profile say single? That’s the part that I can’t find anything on
