I personally didn't respond to that poster as it's always me who gets into fights! But they clearly just wanted reaction but in this case my silence wasn't compliance.

Twitter is wild, Lewis could of pitted he didn't! George did, Max did. What did Lewis think oh I'm gonna stay first. George isn't going to play second fiddle and credit to him for making the call to pit. What a decent first season at Mercedes he is having, he could finish second.

He’s shown not only is a good driver but he can make the car work even if it’s not at the top of it’s game, he must be very thankful for his stint at Williams because he’s picked up alot

what today showed me, George is prepared to be ballsy and be like this is what we’re doing. Whilst they’re a team he can do what he wants, just like Lewis could

I know Lando is popular but if this plays out that Oscar is his teammate next year I want him to be beaten by his rookie teammate so bad.

As a Mercedes fan it's wild to me that people are abusing Hannah?! Like the George pit stop was a Mercedes strategy move (that I didn't agree with) not a RB one! Her job is to get RB to win and she did her job perfectly

This is the most chaotic grid line-up of the season so far! I hope the race delivers a surprise result tomorrow - if any track does it it’ll be Monza!

I still think the biggest surprise would be Charles winning and Ferrari not fucking it up for him.

Quite honestly, given how horrible some DR stans are being towards McLaren and Lando I wouldn't blame him for bailing from social media for a while. Not his fault, nothing to do with him. Feel sorry for all the McLaren staff getting awful abuse unjustifiably.

I love F1 it has many happy memories of watching it grow up. However I am so over the hate comments guising it as they stans of such and a driver (usually Lewis). I don't hate any driver, I can't hate them I don't know them. There are some I really like and others I'm not keen on. Never would I feel it was OK to hate and some of the comments are damn right disgusting and really highlights what kind of people they are

It is remarkable that any of them have been able to maintain close friendships like you mentioned (Charles & Pierre, Alex & George - not sure of anyone else that I can think of, but there may be others) with the pressures, egos and competition involved.

Maybe a daft question but will Alex have to pass a test to by the F1 to determine if he is physically fit to drive? I get he wants to he back but surely someone or some organisation would want to see medical records to say he is OK to drive. Just a thought.

I’m pretty sure they have to get passed medically fit by the FIA doctor and I would assume they would have to pass the extraction test where they have to be able to get out the car within five seconds in full racing gear (I could be completely wrong though). Hats off to Alex if he does manage to drive at Singapore though I’m cautiously optimistic

And yet another shitshow from Ferrari... Binotto has lost the plot, saying the car wasn't performing well? This man refuses to take responsibility for anything and instead the drivers are the ones saying they need to speak to the team to figure out what happened. It's clear as day what went wrong! RB starting at P10/11 was a gift and Ferarri needed to capitalise on it to make up for France. I don't think Charles especially has any confidence in the team and I can see Merc finishing second at this rate...

binotto blaming the car when it has been consistently the fastest car on the grid is ridiculous. he never takes responsibility and never points out the obvious - that they completely messed up the strategy, the way he leaves the drivers out to dry annoys me so much.

they have a generational talent in charles and are just slowly destroying his confidence. especially given that he’s already a fairly sensitive sort of driver.

merc will absolutely finish second and max will win. weirdly he should probably thank ferrari when he’s thanking red bull, they helped him just as much!

Exactly. Max seems unfazed by it all though. Ferrari had so many opportunities earlier in the season to make the championship fight more competitive.

Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. Where next? Maybe after 1 season Aston Martin, that depends on grandad Alsono. Ferrari? Nope. Mercedes? Maybe but that more than likely depends on Sir Lewis retiring.

Alonso is a lifer. He's never retiring. The only way an AM seat is becoming available is if he falls out with Lawrence Stroll.

I hope that the Alpine deal goes through for Pierre. It seems like the perfect opportunity for him. Staying with AT, there's always the threat of being dropped for a newer talent. Without even factoring in teammate drama, Alpine could go terribly wrong - messy management, car struggles etc, but I guess that's always the stress in F1.

Would Esteban, with his Toto connections, be a realistic candidate for the Mercedes seat when Lewis retires?

Honestly I thought this would be a boring silly season and next year would be crazy but Seb’s retirement turned everything around
