but then what was actually wrong? the driver knows the tyres are fitted right or not, he obviously thought they weren’t, was told they were but then called in, they still did something to the tyres so presumably there was something up, and then sent him back out with apparently nothing fixed because he immediately needed to stop anyway? bizarre!

Yeah he is a terrible loser, mainly because Mercedes never allowed Bottas to challenge him (apart from a couple of token times when it was actually inconsequential). George said it is almost impossible to do a restart on used tyres so why didn’t Lewis also know that? He was banking on George defending for him.
that’s why i’m at. yuki’s radio message sounded genuinely freaked out that his tyre(s) wasn’t fitted right - as a driver i don’t think you misjudge that. and something must have been wrong because they DID to something to his tyres when he came in? but it was still not fixed?I can't fathom how a driver says there's a tear issue but the team no there's not.

They changed his tyres from medium to soft. Maybe it was a suspension thing making it feel wobbly. To be fair Yuki always sounds dramatic in his radio messages!

I can’t believe you don’t know this but Lewis’s team can only ever be about him and him winning! Lewis needs to realise there is only one thing that needs to be stroked constantly. And it isn't his ego.Even George has now done a placatory message for Lewis on his IG. The mans ego is in constant need of stroking

He’s shown not only is a good driver but he can make the car work even if it’s not at the top of it’s game, he must be very thankful for his stint at Williams because he’s picked up alot

George def clocked his opportunity to get ahead of Hamilton via pitting onto softs. I don't for a second believe he thought he had tyre deg... He knew the others would pit! As someone else previously said, I'm surprised Mercedes let him pit. Goes to show, its not the Hamilton show this year & I am delighted
Thank god there’s sane people here! I don’t understand the hate towards George at all. It’s like everyone got so used to Bottas playing second fiddle that they just expect every second driver at Merc to work for Lewis now. Good on George for going for it, he didn’t get into this sport to support someone else.
