I'm gonna take a guess and say the clientele of this thread is maybe a wee bit older than the other thread. I'm 36 and here for the race chat, but absolutely will not complain if anyone wants to throw the odd topless photo of Pierre, who yes, is about 12 years younger than me and the same age as some of my cousins

What do we think of the rumours of Hamilton retiring? Still no posts from him or confirmation for next year that I can see
He’ll be hurting at the injustice for sure but imo the fighting racer in him will try for the 8th then he will go. I don’t see him letting all his fans/the team down leaving like this

Seen a lot of posts surrounding it which suggest that he’s not going to retire (unlike initial speculations)
Can imagine initially he would’ve been very frustrated in what happened and lost a bit of faith in the sport but ultimately I think he will return (and I imagine he could have more fighting spirit to try and get another title)
I always thought he would go at the end of 2022, I think long covid will have made him exhausted and he probably just wants to have some mental time off, IF and only if he is retiring he’ll have been medically forced too, I would imagine he would want to come back fighting next year just to try for the record

I do get the impression he’ll be quite loyal to Mclaren though. Even if Hamilton does race next year I think it’s likely he’ll retire after 2022 so it’s interesting to think who they may have in the pipeline
