I suspect you, like me, are probs a fan of Felicity Cloake and her perfect cornbread is my favourite. Plus, you get to read an article thoroughly discussing all the options for your enjoyment (I figure you enjoy this as much as me)......

Oh and in almost cooking news. Made the plague child a treat for lunch. Mozzarella, Parma ham and Parmesan pinwheels. That, a la JM, is essentially the recipe what I made up in maverick style because I needed to use up a sheet of puff pastry and some mozzarella.

They are winning no prettiness prizes. But they taste pretty nice.

This picture is making me salivate @Flumps ❤ Hope these are delicious tonic for your daughter!

I'm having some leftover mushroom creamy pasta made with Oatley (yikes) creme fraiche!

I'm very glad for Jack's hijinks today. I'm currently waiting to start my new job, which has been delayed due to checks taking longer but finished up my last job so am in limbo. I can survive a couple of weeks salary hit but not much longer without it denting into savings so hope it gets sorted ASAP! Just means I'm at a massive local lockdown loose end! I've also had the devastating news that my MIL is nearing the end of her cancer prognosis... she's in hospital and it's not looking good. So very grateful for stupid curtain distractions today.

They look so good dont you put these little cheesy (dry) ham miracles down  🤤 hope the plague child is feeling better, bless her. 🥺🤒 know what you mean we're all on edge the second we/a loved one are under the weather atm, sounds like you've got good intuition though (y)

@Jay-cloth Cow hope your colonoscopy went well and you're nice and comfy somewhere now! :)✨

I've been doing intermittent fasting since August, and I feel like it has reset my relationship with food. I can now buy a multipack of chocolate bars and they stay in the cupboard for days. It's an amazing feeling!

Here's my lunch from Saturday - chicken in a ginger, lime & honey dressing with sweet potato mash and roast asparagus.

I've just ventured in to here from JM because I did a search to see if a certain poster was still posting anywhere. And wow. I think I found my happy place.

This is where off topic Jack Monroe chat comes to die. Welcome!

I had some apple pie flavour ones last time I was in America and they were like crack.

Sounds good! I’ve only ever had the regular ones. Would be interested in trying the peanut butter ones if they still make them. I like maple syrup on French toast instead of putting it on pancakes.

Yep it has, but for some industries the new conditions are just not enough to keep companies afloat! Going into winter things like cinema, theatre and hospitality need something closer to the original furlough scheme. We can't sell tickets if half the UK's cinemas are shut! There will be tons of redundancies. Bloody james bond.

Sorry i'm being very moany and boring! On topic: lunch was a bagel with avocado and pickled onions and feta. Wanna make cornbread with veggie chilli for dinner, anyone care to share a cornbread recipe? @crystaleyesd ?!
It’s proper tit @blurstoftimes ☹ Sorry to hear.

I have a cornbread recipe but I suspect it’s too sweet and cakey for you 😂 but I see that Flumps has helped you out above.

No astrological or horoscope writing talents but just wanted to warn i have Deja vu on mt - i dont want to seem unwelcoming but i now feel wary of the unfamiliar, no matter how sweet they seem.

(obviously im very over cautious about things, just saw a colour and thought...not making accusations yet just saying keep an eye out don't feel scared to hit the ignore)

Also this isnt code but im unironically craving a walkers salt and vinegar crisp sandwich and i have no idea why, not had one in years...this is not danielle lloyds account i swear i dont know who she is

@Jay-cloth Cow I hope it’s gone/is going ok ❤

Had my McDonald's brekkie this morning, that was supposed to be the great recreation of the big breakfast. None of the extras were put on it, so I just had pancakes and sausage. Very disappointed ☹
Ah no this is the worst. I’d have to order again tomorrow to make up for it!

Fraus i will read everything tomorrow as i am literally off my bits right now and seeing double! They gave me codeine as i came on my period about an hour before my appointment so I rang up and asked if i still could have it, i had the colposcopy, a biopsy and they removed my coil so I am feeling like I've had 2 bottles of wine now :ROFLMAO: will get the results in about 4 weeks but tbh I couldn't care less atm and have just made mr Cow mad by trying to put the greatest showman on on full volume whilst he is trying to work so have been banished to the bedroom. Thank you all again for all the good wishes and advice! Xx

Imagine being an ordinary tattler, absent mindedly scrolling through the site with a glass of wine after a long monday, and under "New Threads" you just see

"Food and drink #11 Bum Mints" 😄😄😄

People will be thinking "is that some local delicacy?"
