How does she earn her money? Is she still a thing? I kind of forgot about her hahaThe dancing makes me want to chew my own toenails, it’s just too try hard, like I wish I had time in my day to dance like a prick on Instagram
Pretty sure it’s all covered if you read the thread.I missed the stuff with Slumflower, what was the story?
To my knowledge she has never told a person who is happily married to dump their husband? She has said before that her dump him phrase is directed towards women in unhappy relationships. It is when she’s telling people who are perfectly happy to dump their husbands. I mean what planet does she live on???
Didn’t say you can’t reply. I don’t agree with you that’s all. I said if you like her a lot then create a rave thread.
It’s a big show to say look at me a “queer” writer and this “queer” character uses she AND they pronouns.I thought that but she uses 'her' in the same sentence?
There’s a lot of people who feel the same way on the Chidera threadI used to be quite a fan of slumflower, but a few years ago when I saw her pushing misandry on Twitter and stealing from sex workers I unfollowed and distanced myself - she's completely unhinged, watching this unfold has been like watching a car on fire. It's even worse that's she's bullying people on Twitter and getting people to pile on for expressing their opinions on her unproblematic behaviour.
She was basically having a hissy fit about Diving Bell having the ~~audacity~~ to ask her what would happen if they didn't concede to her demands. Which suggests she naïvely didn't expect any pushback when she decided to cost them £100 a month more than they had originally signed up for. So basically trying to change the terms of her contract whilst not giving DB any extra value for their money. She was naïve as fuck not to expect them to ask what she intended to do if they said no. That's not them forcing her out, it's literally them seeing where they stood in order to negotiate. She says Justin (of DB) gave her an "ultimatum" but she's the one who was trying to put pressure on HIM to get her demands met.I'm a little confused, can you expand on what you mean here?
I thought she gave her notice precisely because of the guy's response to not wanting to donate and set up the landing page?
Should she have striked instead of giving notice?
If she is, she must keep those views very private. I’ve followed her for 3-4 years and listened to a bunch of podcasts she’s been on, and nothing along those lines has come up once (even during 2020-2021 when that sort of conversation was everywhere). Nothing visible on a couple of quick Google searches either … my detective skills might be totally shit, or this could be someone stirring? Surely with a platform that big something would have been shared or come out that made her views plain. Conspiracy theorists are rarely quiet about it…Has anyone else seen the comments on her latest reel? Apparently the podcast guest - the holistic psychologist - (never heard of them before) is a conspiracy theorist with ties to the extreme right and Qanon, posted 2 days ago but not a word from Florence/team about the situation while she is posting as normal... it's all very strange!
I’m so confused. Apparently it is the full book with the extra chapter but with no illustrations? I think. Why is it the small edition if it has an extra chapter? I’m confused lol
Yes to this - the collection ‘Not That Bad’ about rape culture is an absolutely heartbreaking and difficult read, but it is such a worthy read of anyone‘s time, whether you’ve experienced trauma or not, it’s a discussion that often is gendered and it doesn’t have to me. Would definitely recommend.Roxane Gay is really fantastic for accessible but really intelligent and nuanced discussion. She is hilarious too.
*I agree she is not under any obligation at all and I apologise for implying that*I am not a fan of Chidera, but she is under no obligation to discuss what happened yesterday just because she stands for anti-racism, or indeed because she’s Black.
