I'd love to know what made her change her mind about cropping out River's face in photos to showing her in every video.

I feel like over time she probably got more comfortable with the idea. It’s inevitable that she was going to share her as it’s her job to over share. But I feel like she does it with class and dignity?

I also feel the difference with Fleur Is that she doesn’t (to my knowledge) use River as a focal point for ads. She does appear in some photos and vlogs but I think that’s inevitable when you vlog your daily life as a mum. However she does this with taste and doesn’t seem to use her as a money making strategy

I also like how she doesn’t show absolutely everything. We only see snippets of River but never to the extend of other (family) vlogger’s who show everything.
Really hope it’s going to stay this way but in all honestly I could never see Fleur filming her in vulnerable situations ...

I really dislike her calling River 'Bugsy', even to her face. It seems demeaning to me. Not an affectionate nickname is it ?

I‘m curious as to why you find it demeaning? Lots of parents have nicknames for their children and I don’t personally think ‘Bugsy’ is offensive or mean? Pretty sure they’ve called her Bugsy since Fleur was pregnant with her.

Yeah, I was wondering the same. I find nothing wrong with it. She says it with affection

It's not like she's calling her a cockroach, I haven't even really paid attention to it until you've mentioned it. People have all kinds of nicknames for their loved ones.

It's just a little nickname. I call my 2 young children my little bugs. I'm not demeaning them by meaning that they are literal bugs.

I don’t find anything wrong with Fleur calling River ‘Bugsy’. It’s cute. She’s not calling her an insect. Maybe it came from something like ‘snug as a bug in a rug’? Anyway, her whole family have these in-joke family nicknames so it seems very affectionate to me.

I don’t have any issue with the nickname Bugsy in itself but I do find it irritating that the whole family seem to have these ‘cutesy’ nicknames for each other. It’s just so... stereotypical of people of that sort of class lol.

Let's just hope Bugsy doesn't carry it through to later life, like some of the toff girls I went to uni with. Binks, Muffy, etc. Blergh.

I’d find it weirder if she called her River to be honest. My family are similar I suppose. Very rare for us to call each other by our actual names. Even mum we all call goose like mother goose! It’s a sign of affection. It’s nice to have family nicknames that others don’t call you

Oh, I couldn’t get worked up by what a mother calls her toddler as a nickname, so long as it isn’t ACTUALLY a swear word/offensive term. And that little girl is clearly very, very loved by her parents.

Bug/bugsy is quite a common nickname for a small child. Same as 'bubba'.
My MIL calls her kids, and sometimes even the dog, 'Squib', nothing to do with Harry Potter. ;)

My nanna used to call me Tilly Felanne of Marmatiers, so I'm in no position to judge :ROFLMAO:

Didn't she once call her "ratbag" a really long time ago? Bugsy is much sweeter. 😅

Well, she’s gained me back as a subscriber.

Like other posters have previously said, I unsubbed shortly after River was born. Can’t exactly remember why now. But I just watched her most recent couple of vlogs, and they were so refreshing and relaxed, even the parts where she was describing the awful events she has lived through recently.

Somehow, she’s relatable to me again, despite the huge difference in class background and wealth between her and myself. Odd, isn’t it?
