I feel like over time she probably got more comfortable with the idea. It’s inevitable that she was going to share her as it’s her job to over share. But I feel like she does it with class and dignity?I'd love to know what made her change her mind about cropping out River's face in photos to showing her in every video.
I‘m curious as to why you find it demeaning? Lots of parents have nicknames for their children and I don’t personally think ‘Bugsy’ is offensive or mean? Pretty sure they’ve called her Bugsy since Fleur was pregnant with her.I really dislike her calling River 'Bugsy', even to her face. It seems demeaning to me. Not an affectionate nickname is it ?
Yeah, I was wondering the same. I find nothing wrong with it. She says it with affectionI‘m curious as to why you find it demeaning? I don’t have any issue with the nickname Bugsy in itself but I do find it irritating that the whole family seem to have these ‘cutesy’ nicknames for each other. It’s just so... stereotypical of people of that sort of class lol.I don’t find anything wrong with Fleur calling River ‘Bugsy’. It’s cute. She’s not calling her an insect. Maybe it came from something like ‘snug as a bug in a rug’? Anyway, her whole family have these in-joke family nicknames so it seems very affectionate to me.
Let's just hope Bugsy doesn't carry it through to later life, like some of the toff girls I went to uni with. Binks, Muffy, etc. Blergh.I don’t have any issue with the nickname Bugsy in itself but I do find it irritating that the whole family seem to have these ‘cutesy’ nicknames for each other. I’d find it weirder if she called her River to be honest. My family are similar I suppose. Very rare for us to call each other by our actual names. Even mum we all call goose like mother goose! It’s a sign of affection. It’s nice to have family nicknames that others don’t call youI don’t find anything wrong with Fleur calling River ‘Bugsy’. It’s cute. She’s not calling her an insect.
