I never liked this girl but now Im obssesed with her vlogs. They are so nice to watch. Her house is a dream (well at least the kitchen where they spent the most time filming). I don't know much about her, but so refreshing to see her vlogs. You can tell she comes from money as she doesn't have to name the luxury brand on everything. Compared to those new rich Lydia Millen and Ali that every 2 minutes are naming how expensive is everything around them.

I like how she treats her little girl. She seems so relaxed being a mum. Not fake, not try too hard, not trying to be perfect, just natural. I don't know anything about her husband. But he seems ok to be filmed and not showing up. I haven't seen their Q&A. Will do.

Honestly like I understand veganism and do think we should be encouraging more people to take that stance. HOWEVER, comments like that are just fuelling the fire against it and will turn more people away. You turn more people to your cause through kindness and education, not being aggressive and implying people are selfish for taking the best stance for them at that point in time.

I don’t see an issue with her wealth. It seems both families have worked hard with their businesses and have earned it. Fleur also never seems to flaunt her money around and I feel out of most ‘influencers’ she’s remained the most grounded. Doesn’t flog any old shite to her followers and even when she’s talking about expensive brands she will make it clear how expensive it is and I have seen her rave about more affordable things too. I still love watching her all these years later

This is generally the difference between new and old money. Fleur was raised wealthy, she never knew any differently and I get the sense from her parents that they raised their children with poise and class (and basically not to be brats). I seem to remember both Fleur and her sister say at one point or another that they think something is "too expensive" or "not worth it", even though they've got nice things and always have. In stark contrast, look at Zoe Sugg (and her gormless boyfriend). Endless, mindless spending, always having to prove something. Fleur was over the moon about her eyelure collection and you could tell she was genuinely proud of it. While Zoe peddles endless lines of her crap, low quality products every year without fail... Another obvious difference, I think, is that Fleur is intelligent. She went to a top University, she's well spoken and she surrounds herself with people of the same calibre. On the other hand, we have people like Zoe who lucked into their wealth because they were pretty and in the right place at the right time. Not to bag on Zoe so much, but it's the truth.

Don't get me wrong, Fleur definitely has her eye roll moments and she can be a brat, but it doesn't come off as a "because I'm wealthy" kind of bratty. It's just her personality. I'm not judging her because I also have bratty princess moments and I was raised in a lower middle class household. I actually enjoy Fleurs vlogs of her property and home life (even her trips into London) because I LIKE seeing all the things she has, because she's not "ta da!" about it all. Anyway, that was massively long.

I think Louise also posted something like “good luck today” to Fleur on Twitter the day she went into hospital to have River, even though Fleur hadn’t publicised the date. Everyone knew she was in hospital then.

I don't know why I never quite gave up on Fleur - I barely watched her over the past few years and found her content so stale and forced and unnatural... but her Covid content has been just lovely to watch! We're seeing more of the mansion, she's not trying to sell us anything, she's totally at ease with River, she's getting along famously with Mike (although she still talks over him terribly, but that's just their dynamic I suppose!) - I actually look forward to her videos.

You know what was nice to see? Her IG stories of previous birthdays. It shows (to me anyway, I don’t know either way lol!) she hasn’t had a ton of filler/Botox and made herself look ridiculous. I also think that’s why I like seeing her stick to what she likes clothing wise. She definitely doesn’t dress herself as well as a stylist could, even buying clothing that I would never fit or afford but it’s nice to see she’s authentically herself and doesn’t feel the need to alter herself to the latest trend. She just wears what she wants and I think in a world where instagram seems to be basically the same person/trends/looks, she isn’t.

does she though? I’ve never seen her downplay it. She doesn’t talk about it but she doesn’t try and hide it either.

Im really, really enjoying her vlogs lately and I impressed with her auction for health care workers who may struggle with their mental health, it’s something I’ve never thought about before now.

I quite like the fact that she’s quite dominant. Or it seems that way. Mike is ridiculously wealthy and in a fairly ‘powerful’ role, if she was an insipid, kept woman type, with no opinions or guts, I think the power dynamic in the relationship would be tipped. I think it probably balances them out.

I have to say I’ve been really impressed with Fleur recently. Also she’s the only influencer I’ve seen actually tag the Caroline Hirons book as a PR gift. Everyone else is being all “ooh look my friend just happened to send me this”

ABSOLUTELY! compared to just about every other YouTube who deletes comments, doesn't address their wrong doings, doesn't admit their wrong doings, and just waits for the time to pass so they can act like its totally normal and life is just gravy.
I give fleur much credit for addressing!

I think one of the biggest differences is that the youtube bubble could burst tomorrow and Fleur would be absolutely fine - youtube has always been more of a hobby for her, and she could very easily live exactly the same lifestyle without it, whereas most others on youtube rely on it as their main source of income. She does it because she enjoys it and so things very rarely feel forced or disingenuous.

I just started watching the latest vlog and I have to say she really is lovely. I love that when River said "mummy, stop" and Fleur "I have to come and see you" she actually turned the camera off and went to check on her daughter, instead of filming it. So many influencers either ignore their kids when they say that or will keep filming.

Gosh. Fleur is so graceful when talking about her miscarriages, no over the top production, just like talking with a friend. Poor her and Mike. I went off Fleur years ago but I am sucked back into her vlogs and Instagram. She seems so "real" compared to many other vloggers. I think the fact that she had a miscarriage in October but didn't allude to it at all on social media (to get attention) says a lot about her character. A really lovely person.

Good on her for mentioning George Floyd and Black Lives Matter - seems genuine.

She’s attentive to River and treats her with actual respect.

I love when they cook with her in the vlogs and let her mix the food and name the ingredients. And when the go to the greenhouse. Great Mum

Lets be honest, she's got and had the most horrendous dog names (Squidge, Treacle, Woof, PIGLET?!?!) so is it any wonder she calls her daughter Bugsy...

I will take Bugsy, Squib, Woof and even Piglet any other day than Grey/Grey. I find the name River is cute Maybe I am bias, I just like Fleur

She said in a comment on her recent Instagram that Mike lied to River and said that Fleur had gone away for a few days, because she was sick and didn’t want River near her. Imagine having a house so big you can pretend that you’ve gone away for a few days!!

Her vlogs are so relaxing and enjoyable and puts most youtubers to shame, she does more in a weekend then most these luxury vloggers who are sat in their homes doing f all apart from applying makeup and opening parcels. P.S I have a crush on Mike

I feel like we need a Fleur thread in the rave section, lol.

What I admire about Fleur is that she has matured with her audience, unlike many of her other Brit crew peers, such as Zoe, Alfie, Tanya, and Louise.
She has really grown and you can see it and she has stayed true to herself. She also doesn't share woe-is-me stories on IG of her crying etc which is a nice change. Louise Pentland has been crying because she has to look after her two children because the nanny and childcare aren't around. Louise comes across as far more of a snob, diva, and lazy than Fleur ever does.

I just have to say, coming from Zoella's vlogs where she talks endlessly about making food for once and stepping outside, Fleur is such a breath of fresh air. I know she's just doing normal things like cooking and working out but compared to some youtubers she works so hard. It's sad how low the bar is
