It shouldn’t matter if she is rich or pretend rich let her donate what she wants to. I think it’s unfair to judge people who are only tryna help - no matter how much they are worth.

The only reason Fleur has stayed constant personality wise is because she's always been well off and privileged I believe. Only now, the income is hers and her husbands, but the lifestyle and everything that comes with that is the same. I find most youtubers change because their income has grown exponentially and they get a bit carried away with money they're not used to having. Whereas Fleur and her husband were bought up in luxury so its normal for them.

Lets be honest, she's got and had the most horrendous dog names (Squidge, Treacle, Woof, PIGLET?!?!) so is it any wonder she calls her daughter Bugsy...
Might be an unpopular opinion but I quite like when pets have 'animal/pet' names rather than human names.

She's done an update & Q&A on youtube. She's no longer vegan because she has some issues with her thyroid and they think that this might be the reason for her miscarriages.

does she though? I’ve never seen her downplay it. She doesn’t talk about it but she doesn’t try and hide it either.

Im really, really enjoying her vlogs lately and I impressed with her auction for health care workers who may struggle with their mental health, it’s something I’ve never thought about before now.
I agree, just because she doesn't brag doesn't mean she downplays it. Most rich people don't brag about their wealth its only phoneys like Lydia Millen that brag about how wealthy and posh they are.

Her vlog today was so refreshing to watch. No selling this or buying that, she said what was gifted like the thermomix she was making soup in but also said you don't need a thermo you can make it in a pan. Her mum is vulnerable so she went food shopping for her and baked her some bread. Even though they have money they seem like a nice down to earth couple. Such a contrast to people like Lydia millen who's bragging about this trying to show how rich and posh she is. This is the content I want to watch right now people doing everyday things. (y)

Plus in the vlog you can tell she is actually grateful for what she has during self isolation without bragging. I was also surprised to see her sealing the floor herself. Maybe she's not such a princess after all.

Can someone clue me in on the Jo Malone thing? My understanding was that in an ad for the Chinese market, they used a popular Chinese actor instead. Isn't it fairly normal for brands to use different celebs/influencers for different markets? I get that John felt that they used some of the ideas from his ad and that upset him, but I'm guessing Jo Malone paid him handsomely for those ideas so they are no longer his intellectual property.

Maybe I'm being naive but I honestly don't think it comes from a racist or bad place. Jo Malone should've had a discussion with John about using some of his ideas out of courtesy but at the end of the day, brands hires different ambassadors for different markets for marketing purposes. Of course people in China will prefer a domestic celeb, just like U.S. audiences will prefer an American celeb and the Nigerian market will prefer a Nigerian celeb. It's marketing 101.

(Please don't blow up over my comment - if my understanding is wrong, please enlighten me!)
They didn’t just “use some of his ideas”, he came up with the whole concept and directed the original advert himself, it was based on his own life experiences as a black man growing up in London etc. Also I believe there is a lot of anti-black racism in China, and not only did they recast John Boyega’s role, they didn’t cast any black actors in the new advert at all. They definitely should have run the Chinese advert past John for his approval at the very least.

I'm not a fan of her interiors always but I like that she shared her antique finds. They do work well in the style that those bathrooms are and its nice that she genuinely enjoys antique shopping and sharing her finds rather than ordering everything online that's fake vintage. You can realllly tell that Fleur, her home and lifestyle is everything that Lydia Milen wants and imagines she's replicating, lol as if.

What on Earth are you on about? I wondered if her excessive exercising was a coping mechanism and whether she’d started dealing with it.
Ah, ok. I think your previous comment was misconstrued as suggesting her ‘excessive’ exercising was cause for the miscarriages. The use of the word ‘excessive’ perhaps.

I think coming from money probably gave Fleur more chances to opt out than others felt they had. Also Fleur has always seemed mature for her age & seems to have a close group of non You Tube friends. I can’t imagine her friend Lissy & the Gleam crowd would have much in common.
Definitely! She’s the one I actually believe when they say that they’re not in youtube for the money. Her and Mike obviously have a fuck ton of money and could easily live the same lifestyle without her YouTube income, so I trust her recommendations more than others who I feel just take brand deals for the dollar.

I’m not gonna lie, my old tough ass was tearing up watching her latest vlog. I appreciate how she didn’t turn it in to a money making/sub gaining sit down video like some of the YouTubers (cough Imogen and her bullying cough)
I really feel for her and mike, miscarriage is an awful thing to go through... you always wonder what if no matter how many years pass! 😢

Ugh people like this are the reason why “the Vegans” have a bad reputation. I don’t get it. Leave Fleur alone and let her do what is best for her and her body.
Slightly off topic but there’s this German influencer who I follow and she was vegan. She’s currently pregnant and some of her cravings included cheese / dairy products but she didn’t make a big deal about it and just said that she would eat what ever she wantes because pregnancy is such a big deal for the body and that comes first atm.
She’s also repeatedly said that no one has to go fully vegan but even switching one meal from meat to a veggie alternative makes a difference. This is how you get people to think about trying vegan alternatives not by yelling at them and bombarding them with (partly) wrong information

I don't think it's a wise idea to send Fleur's address to people. If you find it yourself by a very easy Google, fair enough. But sharing it seems a step too far, to be honest.

Ditto, I really like the vlogs. I think it’s great she’s aiming to complete one home task a day even something like sorting out a shelf. No matter who you are thats relatable. It’s strange how someone who is very much not in the same position as a lot of people can be so relatable.
Also she's always cooking whether it be bread or a soup( which is great as it gives me meal ideas) and you can tell she does it all the time and its not just for the vlog like Zoella. Plus she's not pushing every item on to us to buy like' I'll link it below' she actually says 'oh you dont need a thermamix to to make it you can do it in a pan'.

By far, the influencer that best “performed” during the lockdown, content wise.
She has been growing on me quite considerably

Obviously this is heartbreaking news but I ‘like’ [can’t think of a more appropriate word, sorry] how she shared it - casually, no dramatic set-up or buildup, very frank and raw and realistic. It just felt like she was chatting to us as friends. She’s honestly a breath of fresh air in a sea of bullshit fakery on YouTube.

I followed her for years but went off her around the time River was born and unfollowed her everywhere (I think the headless baby shit pissed me off more than anything else). I refollowed her at the start of lockdown and honestly she’s back up there as one of my favourite channels.

My heart goes out to her and her family, I hope her gran pulls through too 💕

But you are a stranger to her WindowShopping, why shouldn’t she say that? Anyone that she doesn’t know personally is a stranger, it’s just a fact.

I don’t really watch her videos but I enjoyed her Vlogmas. It was natural and

It’s funny to think as Zoe Sugg and Fleur’s vlogmas’s have been ones I’ve watched for YEARS!

That Fleur has grown with her channel and I’m enjoying her Christmas content, but Zoe is the same girl with the same jokes and the same content, all these years on...
