I’m not sure why everyone’s hating on Fleur and Mike for being “Tories” and “toffs”. There are much ‘toff-ier’ Tory types out there. These two don’t strike me as being like that. Yes they’re insanely wealthy and own land but other than that...

I agree, they can't help being born into wealth or that Fleur's parents sent her to Rugby. They both have day jobs when they could just be sitting on their arse doing absolutely nothing. Yes they have a huge house but in the grand scheme of things they don't live as much of an extravagant life that they probably could. If you look at the Amelia and Lydia's of the youtube world I'd say they are much more extravagant than Fleur is.

I love how she redecorates. Her style is quite trend driven but also manages to remain timeless and classic and true to the style of the house. That bathroom she showed is one of the nicest bathrooms I’ve ever seen. Truly stunning.
I also love how they’re taking their time with the refurbishments, which I’m sure is down to the house being so big! But it’s sensible

This is unbelievably incorrect and very clearly comes from the first page of a google search on alcohol + thyroid issues lol. Maybe read some actual studies and/or thyroid research websites rather than a Guardian article.

This comes from a doctor, who never had it mentioned in medical school, did several endocrinology electives and searched it on the journal Thyroid which is the leading research journal on Thyroid issues. What are your qualifications?

I’m actually shocked that she is in Dubai, I found her quite relatable during the lockdown vlogs but completely gone off her now. I expected it from the towie cast etc but she actually seemed smart about the whole thing

Wow, just wow. If she had jetted off to Dubai over Christmas before Boris had changed what we could do, that would be one thing. But NOW? It's really not the time to go off on holiday.

I think even before it wasn’t socially acceptable. Just because it’s technically within the rules doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still exercise your own judgement and think it through. Is this essential travel or not? Anyone holidaying for fun in this pandemic clearly has no care at all for anyone except themselves and their own families, and clearly decided that a few days of them in the sun lying by the pool was more important to them than preventing any needless deaths of others.

Shame on Fleur.

But River's yelling and promotion of consumerism in these rough times.. Sorry, I just can't get beyond her fascination with wrapping and buying a million presents for everyone.

I like how Fleur's cat joined them on the family walk. Cute! I think River is lovely. I don't see anything wrong with her behaviour or how Mike & Fleur parent her. Anyone who has spent time with a toddler will know that they can be perfectly sweet one minute and throw the biggest diva strop the next! Sometimes it's just easier to give into them. Ha!

Same! I live for her vlogs - despite their insane privilege, her content is still so cozy and welcoming. Excited for her vlogmas... I'm just happy watching the cooking/home stuff/country walks; doesn't have to be a super exciting year to be enjoyable.

I feel for Fleur tonight (and anyone who is having fertility issues). Feel like there's been pregnancy announcements left, right and centre.

Yep, I avoided social media as much as I could around Christmas, and I still had someone put an announcement in a Christmas card. You just can't avoid it. It's heartbreaking, even though I understand it's illogical. It hits harder around this time period because the focus is on family and children as it is.

Seeing as Fleur (& Mike) have been quite cautious all this time I‘m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that there was more to their trip then she‘s letting everyone know. I can‘t imagine them being so careful all these months and then just going to London for fun.

And if restaurants are open they need people to dine out. Same for shops. I personally wouldn‘t feel comfortable in a crowded restaurant but of course we don‘t know what kind of safety measures they had in place.

I agree, I would absolutely love to see a house tour. Even if she didn't want to do that, I would just love more interior videos. Maybe a series per room from start to finish? Showing her going through their ideas, paint and fabric samples, antique hunting for any key pieces, etc? Let's be real, I lived in a 3 bed new build semi and will never experience that type of luxury but it's so interesting to watch.

She and mike seem to have endless patience with river wren. Never showing themselves looking a little stressed or snapping at her or each other during lockdown when they had her 24/7. When fleur was rearranging all her jewellery and river was playing with it, i would never have been allowed to mess around with my mum's stuff especially when she was working amd in this case.filming it was the work.

I know she films and edits it herself but i was still struck by it.

Very sad she's having to change her diet again. I hope she gets that thyroid under control.
