New to Fleur's thread and I know this is where I'm supposed to rant so I hope I don't get a lot of hate for this but I just wanted to give some love to Fleur. I wasn't her biggest fan pre-River, I found her quite disrespectful during her trip to Japan with other youtubers but she's really grown on me a lot since having River. I thought she'd be like other annoying influencer moms who use and view their child/ren more as a money-making accessory than their own flesh and blood but Fleur has proved herself to be quite an amazing mom. I also love how she doesn't flaunt her wealth. It's obvious that Mike and her are pretty wealthy in their own right and it's refreshing to see her talk about saving up, making pre-loved purchases and even DIY-ing facets of their home. I'm quite disgusted by how ostentatious and wasteful most influencers/YTers are that Fleur's content has now become a breath of fresh air.

Nigel Farage isn’t a Conservative MP? He left in 1992 so hasn’t been affiliated with the Conservatives in a very long time. I think it’s highly likely Mike and Fleur are Conservative voters. There are good and bad people on both sides of the political fence, if they vote Tory I don’t think it’s fair to make assumptions on their character because of it.

Really disappointing. And SO stupid. And no, in a pandemic nobody can argue that this sort of behavior just effects them and nobody else. That's the thing with a global pandemic, if you decide, for example, to (unnecessarily) travel you immediately get ready to endanger not only yourself but also an unknown number of other people.
I'm one of the old time Fleur subscribers and even though I can often see through her bullshit (even though she's really smart about it), I still liked her and in 2020 I finally enjoyed some of her content again, after a long time. But this is just idiotic. And if this was, say, Zoe Sugg, people would be calling the authorities by now ;-D

I must be the only person who thinks its completely normal to go to London to view a potential Xmas present that cant be seen in person anywhere else. I mean, if you're dropping 2.3k on a new treadmill, youre going to want to make sure the person likes it surely!?
London really didnt look very busy when she was vlogging, I actually thought it was quite dead. At the end of the day, its her risk to take and it seemed well managed, they didn't take their child, they knew what they were doing and left the streets before it even got dark most days so weren't around for the dinner rush and after work shopping crowds.
I did roll my eyes when they made the point about the lack of festive cheer acting like the area they're strolling in isnt full of multi millionaires who are most likely all in their country homes waiting out the pandemic (much like them!)

I agree with the comments re: consumerism and I think the whole influencer culture needs to end BUT that doesn't stop me from absolutely loving Fleur's vlogs

Sorry, but this is the problem with this thread. Fleur doesn’t even need to defend herself because her insanely loyal fanbase will invent fake reasons to justify that she did X,Y and Z questionable things.
Fleur acts recklessly visiting three restaurants and an unknown number of shops in a covid hotspot for apparently sheer pleasure and this thread invents some serious (fake) medical appointments to justify her. She hasn’t even tried to justify herself! But like I say, she doesn’t have to.

You don’t stay rich if you just throw your money around. I definitely think they are wise enough to have an extensive budget plan and therefore do “save up” for certain things.
Of course they still get to throw money around but in a “controlled” sort of way.

I like Fleur a lot. I think she’s very genuine. Like you can imagine how she is online is how she is in real life and she seems to be a great friend and a good person to hang around with. I also love the fact that she’s still so obsessed with her dogs after having river. The interest or love never waned and I love that she lets them up on the bed. For someone so wealthy she’s a lot more relatable than others who haven’t as much wealth but try to be something they’re not

I thought the trip was also because she had a doctor/hospital appointment regarding her fertility and tests she’s been having?! Personally, I wouldn’t begrudge any woman travelling for that, no matter how much money you have it must be so hard!

Really? I think she seems well behaved and mild mannered. She’s a little bossy but that’s quite standard for toddlers at that age! Yes, Fleur and Mike have given her lots of nice things but she doesn’t seem grabby or greedy at all.

Ah, yes, Fleur de Force, the only influencer whose rampant consumerism is given a pass because she doesn’t bother pretending that she’s not filthy rich. Facepalm.
(And when she complains about not getting sent free stuff from expensive brands her loyal fans pass it off as a joke. So funny.)

Quite refreshing to see a child’s playroom look like a playroom and a place to make mess and have fun - and not a “curated” insta perfect room.
From what we've seen in the vlogs I actually think Mike works a lot. Also Fleur often talks about him working long hours or having stressful/ busy time at work. Bedsides I think families like his have strong work ethic and it gets passed down the generations. They want to keep and grow their wealth and keep the business strong.

Yes it's normal, it's called picking your battles and EVERY SINGLE PARENT has had to deal with it (if a parent says no their child was amazing, don't believe them it's a lie and they know it) all kids will go through a spoilt brat phase (and I mean every single child, there is not one on this earth that won't go through the phase) so considering you do not have kids then maybe don't judge until you do and even then you should not because well you are not the parent of that child and you didn't give birth to them

I actually think those rings look horrible together. There’s no flow between them, they look like three very disjointed rings.
That thread in particular very much struck me as someone sh*t stirring for internet clout.
